Robert “Bobby” L. Magyar, 48, of Livingston passed away Nov. 4 at his home. Graveside services were held Nov. 6 at Overton County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Roger Phillips officiating. Speck Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Joey, Casey and Sandy Thompson and Roger Phillips.
Robert “Bobby” L. Magyar was born July 3, 1963 in Boston, MA. He was a mechanic. He enjoyed his family, working on cars, fishing and his farm animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Cecilia Blanca Magyar.
Surviving relatives include: his sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Sandy Thompson of Livingston; nephews, Joseph and Casey Thompson; and great-niece and nephews, Matti Thompson, Christian Thompson and Cade Thompson.
Blane Hayes Garrett
Blane Hayes Garrett, 55, of Hilham passed away Nov. 5 at the Overton County Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Gore officiating. Interment followed in the Garrett Cemetery.
Blane Hayes Garrett was born March 15, 1956 in Overton County. He worked in the maintenance department at Tennessee Tech and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billie Garrett.
Surviving relatives include: his mother, Burmah Garrett of Hilham; son, Brent Garrett of Livingston; step-son, Danny Dewayne Looper of Monroe; brother, Butch and wife Vickie Garrett of HILham; nephew, Billy Garrett; niece, Brandy Garrett; and several other nieces and nephews.
Mary C. Hurd
Mary C. Hurd, 87, of Monroe passed away Nov. 5 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. J.D. McDonald and Bro. Andy Courtney officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Luke Johnson, Zack Smith, Phillip Johnson, Brent Smith, Todd Smith, Ralph Barnes and Andy Courtney.
Mary C. Hurd was born Oct. 4, 1924 in Overton County. She was a hospital cafeteria dietician, and was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ, quilting club and book club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Esco Benton and Melissa Taylor Barnes; sister, Portha Mae Barnes; and brothers, Jack and Elmo Barnes.
Surviving relatives include: her sons, Harold and wife Marie Hurd of Allons and George Anthony “Tony” Hurd of Nashville; daughter, Linda Sue and husband Richard Smith of Nashville; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Ella Charlene Hicks
Ella Charlene Hicks, 74, of the Hardys Chapel Community passed away Nov. 7 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 10 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Glenn Masters officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Rocky Wright, Steve Wright, Josh Dillon, Jacob Dillon, Chris Morgan and Bryan Bilbrey.
Ella Charlene Hicks was born Nov. 16, 1936 in Overton County. She was an auto parts factory worker and of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Dessie Lee Hammons Bilbrey; husband, Thurman Hicks; sister, Lois Allred; and brothers, Kenneth and Doug Bilbrey.

Floyd Ray Ledford
Floyd Ray Ledford, 54, of Livingston passed away Nov. 6 at his residence. Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. John Copeland officiating. Interment followed in the Jones Cemetery.

Floyd Ray Ledford was born Jan. 13, 1957 in Ann Arobr, MI to the late Victor and Lorain Waters Ledford.

Barbara Melton Lee
Barbara Melton Lee, 64, of Livingston passed away Nov. 6 at her home. Funeral services were held Nov. 9 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon and Bro. Ryan Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Ruth Chapel Cemetery.

Barbara Melton Lee was born May 26, 1947 in Overton County. She and her husband owned Pug’s Septic Tank & Sewer Service and she was affiliated with the Christian Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Mary Mullins Melton; sisters, Gail Beaty, Juanita Roberts and Linda Sue Melton; and brothers, Gary Fred Jolley and Dolphus Jolley.

Tyler Mark Thrasher was born Dec. 10, 1987 in Putnam County. He was a college student, a member of the First Baptist Church and a veteran of the 278th U.S. National Guard in McMinnville.
Surviving relatives include: his parents, Mark and Laura Thrasher of Livingston; wife, Allie Thrasher of Livingston; brother, Josh and wife Christie Fowler of Livingston; sister, Amber and husband Nick Coleman of Livingston; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many longtime friends.
George Thomas Young
George Thomas Young, 70, of Alpine passed away Nov. 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 12 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Campbell officiating. Interment followed in the Beaty Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Doyle Smith, Michael Young, Robert Padgett, Buck Smith, Jack Clark and Ricky Beasley.
George Thomas Young was born March 23, 1941 in Overton County. He was a factory worker at Russell Stover Candies and was of Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Mary Jaynes Young; and infant brother.

Arvil Bruce Spears
Arvil Bruce Spears, 85, of Glasgow, KY passed away Nov. 10 surrounded by his family. Services were held Nov. 14 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Allons with Minister Doug Lancaster officiating. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home in Glasgow, KY was in charge of arrangements.
Arvil Bruce Spears was born June 29, 1926 in Peytonsburg, KY. He served in World War II in the Philippines from 1943 to 1944. He retired from the former Indianapolis Union Railways and was a member of the East Main Church in Glasgow, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny H. and Vera Hill Spears; wife, Eudelle Humphrey; sister, Sue Butrum; and Johnny G. Spears.
Surviving relatives include: his brothers, Milton “Bud” and wife Rose Spears of Greenwood, IN, Charles E. Spears of Camby, IN and Larry Fay and wife Mary Spears of Indianapolis, IN; seven nieces; six nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Hallie Rose Webb, 75, of Cookeville passed away Nov. 10 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 13 at the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Henry and Bro. Clayton Lee, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in the Burris Cemetery.
Hallie Rose Webb was born Nov. 6, 1936 in Jackson County. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanton and Ila B. Jackson Knight; husband, Dell Monroe Webb; brother, Floyd Knight; and sisters, Virginia, Evelene and Rosa Lee.
Surviving relatives include: her daughters, Cindy and husband Randy Foster, Regina Webb and Ronald Strode all of Cookeville; grandchildren, Makayla Foster, Kelli Foster and Hallie Strode; sister, Reda and husband Carl Bilbrey of Livingston; and sister-in-law, Fredia Knight of Kentucky.
James Tinsley, 69, passed away Nov. 6 at his residence. Funeral services were held Nov. 8 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Donald Bryant officiating. The family chose cremation after the service.
James Tinsley was born May 22, 1942. He installed carpets.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie George Tinsley; brother, Roger Tinsley; sister, Janet Scott; granddaughter, Megan Dale; and son-in-law, Seth Copeland.
