Gloria Saundra Thompson

Gloria Saundra Thompson, 70, of Livingston passed away at Masters Healthcare on Feb. 18. Funeral services were held on Feb. 20 at Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Duke officiating. Interment followed in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Livingston.

Pallbearers included: Phillip Hooks, Robby Thompson, Taylor Thompson, David Ogletree, Ronnie Thompson and Mark Thompson.

Gloria Saundra Thompson was born on March 31, 1941 in Overton County. She was a member of the West End Church of Christ in Livingston.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Elmer and Bessie (Ogletree) Sells; husband, E. Ray Thompson; and brother, Bill Thompson.

Surviving relatives include: her sons, Greg Thompson of Livingston and Bret Thompson of Athens, AL; brother, Joe Sells of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Tessa Hardiman, Robert Thompson and Caroline Thompson.

Johnny Arnold Watkins

Johnny Arnold Watkins, 51, of Livingston passed away at the Livingston Regional Hospital on Feb. 16. Funeral services were held on Feb. 19 in the the Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Reeder officiating. Interment followed in the Fellowship Cemetery in Allons.

Pallbearers included: Bobby Perdue, Josh Norrod, Wayne Savage, Johnny Presley, Mike Savage and Terry Colson.

Johnny Arnold Watkins was born on June 14, 1960 in Overton County.

He is preceded in death by: his father, Preston Watkins; and sister, Linda Savage.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Sharon Watkins of Livingston; sons, Tyler Watkins, Michael Watkins and Bobby Perdue all of Livingston; mother, Vela Lee; and granddaughter, Lillian Watkins.

Earl P. Forrester III

Earl P. Forrester III, 73, of Anderson, IN passed away on Feb. 19 at Manorcare Health Services. Funeral services were held on Feb. 23 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home in Anderson, IN with Pastor Carl Lamb officiating. Interment followed in the East Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites by the VFW Pot #266.

Earl P. Forrester III was born on April 23, 1938 in southern Indiana. He was the retired owner of Forrester’s Upholstery Shop and served in the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Earl and Mary Forrester II; nephew, Johnny Cates; and sister, Dottie Cates.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Judy Ann (Martin) Forrester; children, Earl J. Forrester, Tamra Forrester, Kevin Wayne Brown and wife Sarah and Jaime Ann Brown; brothers, Vincent Forrester and Marvin Forrester; 12 grandchildren and especially best buddy, Olivia Brown; mother-in-law, Jewel Martin; sisters-in-law, June Harvey and husband Larry and Joan Border and husband Terry; and nieces, nephews and special friends, Paul Carlson and Donnie Wallace.

Judith Ann Doane

Judith Ann Doane, 72, of Livingston, passed away on Feb. 11 at her home. Funeral services were held on Feb. 14 at Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Sam Gamble officiating. Interment followed at Hoover Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: John Theis, Thomas Pirkel, Jessie Cole, Wade Bottom, Sr., Wade Bottom and David Bierer.

Judith Ann Doane was born on Jan. 28, 1940 in Lebanon. She worked in radiology at the Hollywood Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, FL and was Baptist in faith.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Sterling and Betty Wyatt Wright and sister, Karen Silcox.

Surviving relatives include: her sons, Joe Cole and wife Karen of Livingston and Sterling Cole and wife Patricia Lowrance of Mt. Holly, NC; daughters, Linda Cook and husband Mark of Alabama, Ellen Ingram and husband Jeff of Palm Beach, FL and Melody Travis and husband Brian of Okeechobee, FL; sister, Jackie Ruble and husband Ronnie of Allons; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Jonathan Andrew Baert

Jonathan Andrew Baert, 66, of Cookeville, passed away on Feb. 22 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Jonathan Andrew Baert was born on May 3, 1945. He as an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, an avid car collector, a manufacturing engineer and worked most recently at the Hutchinson Corporation in Livingston.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Adrien and Cecelia Baert; and sister Elizabeth Neu.

Surviving relatives include: his children, Michelle Pamintuan and husband Rudy of Chicago, IL; Susan Cher of Valparaiso, IN; daughters of Barbara Pidrak; Nicole Baert Hunyadi and husband John of Colorado Springs, CO; Jessica Baert Johnston and husband Jeff of Knoxville; Andrew Baert of Cookeville; Jason Baert of Spring City; and Robert Baert of Bristol, children of Barbara Berea; grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary Cher, Reece, Tate and Blaze Pamintuan, Adrie Johnston and Annika Hunyadi; brother, Ed Baert and wife Shari of Glenwood, IL; sister, Judith Baert of University Park, IL; and 10 nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews.

Stanley Eugene Dial

Stanley Eugene Dial, 55, of  the Highland Community in Overton County passed away on Feb. 21 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held on Feb. 23 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Interment followed at the Oakley Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Lance Dial, Lucas Dial, Joey Ray, Billy Ray, Terry Ray and Harold Ray.

Stanley Eugene Dial was born on June 20, 1956 in Overton County.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Stanley and Delsie Ledbetter Dial; brother, Laughton Dial; sisters, Betty Dial and Emma Jean Dial; and infant son, Benjamin Dial.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Joyce Dial of the Highland Community; sons, Lance and Lucas Dial, both of Livingston; daughter, Leslie Dial of Livingston; sons from previous marriage, Josh Dial of Kentucky and Johnathan Dial of Rickman; daughter from previous marriage, Stacey Dial; sister, Della Louise Allred of Livingston; brother, Willie D. Dial of Independence; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Carrie Othalene (Hammock) Dishman

Carrie Othalene (Hammock) Dishman, 85, of Livingston passed away on Feb. 23 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held on Feb. 25 at the Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Cantrell and Bro. Darrin Gore officiating. Interment followed at Liberty Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Jason Dishman, Tim Porter, Jason Cox, Larry Cantrell, Jeremy Hammock and Gary Grant.

Carrie Othalene (Hammock) Dishman was born on Oct. 21, 1926 in Overton County. She was a retired Shirt Factory Employee and a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Maynord “Judge” and Willie Pearl (Dishman) Hammock; husband, Oscar Hammock; son, Oscar Herald Dishman; grandson, Johnny William Dishman; sister, Lassie Deck; and brother, Benton Lee Hammock.

Surviving relatives include: her daughter, Irene Staggs of Livingston; sons, James Dishman, Johnny Dishman and wife Alice Faye, Jessie “Shorty” Dishman and wife Tina Marie and Billy Joe Dishman and wife Deltina, all of Livingston; sisters, Katie Hammock of Livingston and Callie Matthews of Rickman; brother, Clinton Ray Hammock of Livingston; and six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Jewel Vera (Wilson) Pierce

Jewel Vera (Wilson) Pierce, 70, of Livingston passed away on Feb. 12 at Kindred Healthcare in Algood. The family has chosen cremation. Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown is in charge of arrangements.

Jewel Vera (Wilson) Pierce was born on July 19, 1941 in Burnsville, NC. She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Woodrow and Faye Edna Wilson; husband, Keith Pierce; and son, Patrick Lynn Pierce.

Surviving relatives include: her sisters, Bettie Lou King of Burnsville, NC; Wanda Johnson of Gainesboro; Carol Sue Crissone of Burnsville, NC; and Wilma Johnson of Gainesboro; brothers, Charles Mike Wilson of Burnsville NC; Ray Wilson of Cookeville; Roger Dale Wilson of Ashville, NC; and Woodrow Wilson Jr. of Burnsville, NC; and two grandchildren.
