Amanda Louise Foster


Amanda Louise Foster, 30, of Celina passed away Feb. 25 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Feb. 29 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. John Copeland officiating. Interment followed in the Turkeytown Cemetery.

Amanda Louise Foster was born March 14, 1981 in New Port Richey, FL. She was a homemaker, farmer and a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Alpine.

Surviving relatives include her parents, Eddie and Lynn Lopez of Hilham, Douglas Scott and Catherine Snell of Celina; daughter, Tatum Foster; son, Aidan Foster; paternal grandparents, Edward and Martha Lopez of Maxwell, NM and Lee and Harley Rettig of Celina; sister, Meagan Howard of Elmgrove; brothers, Daniel and wife Tracy Snell of Gainesboro, Justin and wife Cassondra Lopez of Celina, Hunter Lopez and Carter Lopez both of Hilham; maternal uncle and godfather, Ken and Dorothy Rettig of Gastonia, NC; aunts, JoAnn Bledsoe of Livingston, Carol Rettig of Bessemer City, NC, Cora and husband Jeff Meschen of Chess City, FL and Theresa and husband LeRoy Cruz of Shallowater, TX; nephews and nieces, Conyr Duncan, Evan, Logan, James, Cody, Shane, Rashelle, Gorge, Alyssa, Raina and Fallon; numerous cousins and friends including, Laura Dixon, Randy Bledsoe, Tiffany Bledsoe, Kevin Glasscock, Lori Richardson, David Hodge, Brian and Kaylonie Pennington; friends, Diana Bartlett, Sharon Evins, Linda McLerran, Diana Collins, Ran Carter, Terri and Ray Buck, Jay Hooten, Jason and Stephanie Sparks, Marsha Hix and family, Suzie Beason, Angela Key and family; and life friend, Mouse Dailey.

Earl Radford Wilkerson


Earl Radford Wilkerson, 91, of Union Hill passed away March 2 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services were held March 5 from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Carson officiating. Interment followed in the Wilkerson Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: David Wilkerson, Jason Browning, Todd Browning, Weston Browning, Austin Browning, Jared Browning and Elbert Wilkerson.

Honorary pallbearers included: Owen, Wyatt and Dillon Browning.

Earl Radford Wilkerson was born June 29, 1920 in Union Hill. He was a farmer and an Army Veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.R. Gallous Wilkerson and Ada Ethel Cherry Wilkerson; sisters, Exie Osgathorpe, Elba Hestand and Maryetta McCormick; and brothers, Ermel Frank, Fosh and Beverly Hoss Wilkerson.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Anna Jean Wilkerson; daughters, Donna Wilkerson both of Union Hill and Kathleen and husband Jackie Browning of Moss; son, David Earl and wife Linda Wilkerson of Celina; grandchildren, Jason and wife Angie Browning, Todd and wife Jessica Browning, Kelli and husband Michael Carr and Savannah Wilkerson; great grandchildren, Jared, Ashlynn, Owen, Wyatt, Weston, Austin, Haley and Dillon Browning, Avah, Emmy and Will Carr and Jettie Mabry.

Ila Dellia Georgia Myrel Dillion Murley


Ila Dellia Georgia Myrel Dillion Murley, 92, of Celina passed away March 1 at Cumberland River Hospital. Funeral services were held March 3 from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home. Interment followed in the New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Steven Murley, Ray Buck, Steve Murley, Wayne Murley, Rick Murley and Eddie Murley.

Ila Dellia Georgia Myrel Dillion Murley was born Oct. 22, 1919 in Jackson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Shankey Branch First Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clure and Lizzie Florence Stafford Dillion; husband, Thomas William Murley; sons, Bobby Gene and Thomas Elton Murley; daughter, Alta Evelyn Murley; brothers, John Luther Boles and Clide Dillion; and sisters, Joe Nell Stacey, Ruthie Boles, Nannie Boles and Della V. Boles.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Ricky and Billy Wayne Murley of Indiana, Steve Ray and Eddie Gail Murley of Celina; daughters, Geraldine Rhoton of Hilham, Jo Ann Sue Hawkins of Celina and Shirley Ruth Wilson of Rickman; sisters, Agnes Boles of Celina and Julie Poston of Gainesboro; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.

The family of Amanda Foster wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who has been so supportive through the loss of our beloved girl.

The outpouring of sympathy and gifts of remembrance have overwhelmed all of us. So many visits of family, friends and neighbors enabled all to celebrate Amanda’s life even as we bid her farewell. Thank you so very much. In spirit we are all “family” now. May God bless you and yours. You are in our prayers as you have held us in yours. Once more thank you. Amanda really knew how to make an exit!
