Jimmy W. Stacy

Jimmy W. Stacy, 48, of Gainesboro passed away on March 1 at his home. Funeral services were held on March 4 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Stacy Cemetery.

Jimmy W. Stacy was born on April 6, 1963 in Tompkinsville, KY. He was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Joe Elmer and JoNell Stacy; brothers, Billy Joe Stacy and Jerry Lee Stacy; and sister Cathy Bull.

Surviving relatives include: sisters, Joyce Smith, Linda Goolsby, Brenda Hunter and Bobbie Barlow, all of Gainesboro; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Morris C. Smith

Morris C. Smith, 74, of Miamisburg, OH passed away on March 4. Funeral services were held on March 8 at the Miamisburg First Church of God with Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed at the Peek Cemetery in Jackson County.

Morris C. Smith was born on Dec. 21, 1937 in Jackson County. He was a Master Mason of Minerva Lodge #98, Miamisburg, 32 degree Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and a member of Antioch Shrine, Dayton.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Smith and Josie Smith.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Wiladene Smith of Miamisburg, OH; sons, Randall C. Smith and wife Julie and Gary D. Smith and wife Mary Ellen; grandson, Shawn D. Smith; sisters-in-law, Marie Wicker and Louise Slone; and many other relatives and friends.

Jerry R. Barlow

Jerry R. Barlow, 59, of Cincinnati, OH passed away on March 4 at his home. Funeral services were held on March 9 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in Lynn Cemetery.

Jerry R. Barlow was born on Jan. 19, 1953 in Gainesboro. He was a bus driver for the City of Cincinnati and a graduate of the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Silas Eugene “Gene” Barlow and Bessie Louise Scantland Barlow; and sister, Glenda Barlow.

Surviving relatives include: his daughter, Ashley Barlow of Mt. Orab, OH and her mother, Nina Scott of Mt. Orab, OH; brother, Danny L. Barlow of Tipp City, OH; nieces, Sydni Barlow and Quinci Barlow; and nephew, Colton Barlow.

Robert Chaffin

Robert Chaffin, 87, of Gainesboro passed away on March 6 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on March 8 at Jackson County Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Reeder and Bro. Doyle Wilmoth officiating. Interment followed in Smith Chapel Cemetery.

Robert Chaffin was born on Aug. 28, 1924 in Jackson County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Ella (Bean) Chaffin.

Surviving relatives include: his son, Ralph Chaffin; grandchildren, Jennifer Nelson, Paula Chaffin, Luke Chaffin and JoAnn Williams; and six great-grandchildren.

Johnie E. Stafford

Farmer

Johnie E. Stafford, 101, of Gainesboro passed away on March 8 at Bethany Health and Rehab Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held on March 11 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Danny Hall officiating. Interment followed at John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.

Johnie E. Stafford was born on March 18, 1910 in Jackson County. He was a farmer and a member of the Sugar Creek Church of Christ.

He is preceded in death by: his parents Robert Lee Stafford and Janie Smith Stafford; wife, Martha Nannie Stafford; infant daughter, Judy Ann Stafford; sons-in-law, Robert Hall and Jerry Langley; sisters, Bessie Smith, Nannie Pharris and Bertha Scantland; and brother, Carl Lawson.

Surviving relatives include: his sons, Mayford Stafford and wife Helen of Nashville and James Stafford of Cookeville; daughters, Katherine Hall of Cookeville, Norma Compton and husband Robert of Nashville and Marie Langley of Nashville; grandchildren, Danny Hall, Phillip Hall, Donna Beard, Marty Stafford, Patti Burchett, Judy Phillips, Tim Compton and Karen Baskin; 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
