Donald L. Pruett

Donald L. Pruett, 75, of Gainesboro passed away on March 17 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were handled by Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation.

Donald L. Pruett was born on April 24, 1936 in Cookeville. He was a baker.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Coe Pruett and Marion Adcook Pruett; and sister, Linda Pruett.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Juliana C. Pruett of Gainesboro; sons, Steven Pruett of Maine, Robert Suteu of Gainesboro and Alex Suteu of Michigan; daughters, Diana Suteu of New Hampshire and Melina Suteu of Little Rock, AR; sister, Marie Lacey of Michigan, and nephew, Colby Lace of Michigan.

Alvin Clay Young

Construction worker

Alvin Clay Young, 67, of Gainesboro passed away on March 17 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood. Funeral services were held on March 19 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Lyles officiating. Interment followed at Pharris Cemetery.

Alvin Clay Young was born on June 12, 1944 in Jackson County. He was a construction worker and factory worker and of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Edd Thomas Young and Stella Mai Mahaney Young; infant brother, Tommy Young; brothers, U.L. Young and Willie Edward Young; niece, Patricia Young; sisters-in-law, Allene Young and Josephine Young; and brother-in-law, Eston C. Wright.

Surviving relatives include: considered as a son, Josh Maynard of Cookeville; brothers, Roger Young and Kenneth Young and wife Brenda all of Ohio and Eddie Young and wife Linda of Gainesboro; sisters, Alta Miller and husband Richard, Wanda Young and June Young all of Ohio, Mary Richards and Lynda Brown and husband Taylor both of Gainesboro and Frances Wright of Maryland; sister-in-law, Shirley Young of Ohio; special cousin, Joe Young of Gainesboro; 18 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews and three great-great-nieces and nephews.
