Paul H. Davis, 91, of Celina passed away March 22 at Celina Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held March 24 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Interment followed in the Donaldson Cemetery with military honors.

Paul H. Davis was born August 21, 1920 in Celina. He was a farmer, a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Ashlock Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bedford and Lora Stone Davis; wife, Opal Ruby Davis; sons, Paul Edward “Dixie” Davis and Carl Thomas “Doolie” Davis; and brother and sisters, Olene Jones, Opal Boone, Arnold Davis, Betty Davis, Elise Davis and Matthew Davis.

Surviving relatives include: daughters, Sue Hampton and Dorothy Webb both of Celina and Tina McLaughin of Cookeville; son, Lonnie Wayne Davis of Celina; brothers, Andrew Davis and James Davis both of Celina; grandchildren, Eric Webb, Melissa Webb, Carol Sue Cherry, Lori Watson, Chris Hampton, Carla Davis, Crystal Gore, Kelly Collins, Jennifer McLaughin and Alexis Page; great grandchildren, Casey Scott, Kurt Cherry, Peyton Gore, Zackary Gore, Michael Plumlee, Jared Plumlee, Matthew Dale Watson, Emily Watson, Sydney Collins, Jake Collins, Jayce Collins, Reece Collins and Ajay Collins; and great great grandchildren, Aiden Scott and Ava Scott.

G.C. Rush

Retired

G.C. Rush, 74, of Pea Ridge passed away March 23 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held March 26 from the chapel of Upton Funeral Home with Jeff Greene, Jack Honeycutt and Vernon Groce officiating. Interment followed in the Watson Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Jerry Watson, Michael Watson, Cecil Hogan, Johnny Brewington, Randy Groce, Johnny Boles and Ronnie Webb.

G.C. Rush was born Feb. 4, 1938 in Cumberland County, KY. He was retired from the Clay County Highway Department and was an Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Minnie Thacker Rush; and an infant sister.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Bernice Watson Rush of Pea Ridge; daughter, Tammy and husband David Hunter of Cookeville; brothers, James Rush of Louisville, KY., Earl and wife Alyne Rush of Burkesville, KY. and Lawrence and wife Martha Rush; grandchildren, Brittany Bradford of Cookeville, Meagan Hunter of Knoxville and Emily and Haley Hunter of Cookeville; and great grandchildren, Connor and Lily Bradford of Cookeville.

The family of John Cherry wish to express our gratitude for kindnesses shown during our loss. The flowers, food, prayers and words of comfort will not be forgotten. Thanks to Halls Funeral Home, Bro. Roy Henson, friends and family. A special thanks to Junior and Sue Coons, Kathy Bean, Amy and Tereasa Crawford, Gay and Jackie Price, Alene Cherry, Barbara and Jack Dodson, Carlene and Joe Jones who were there with us daily during John’s last week offering food and prayer.
