Lovie Alice Poindexter Thompson

Lovie Alice Poindexter Thompson, 74, of Celina passed away May 22 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held May 24 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bill Threet officiating. Interment followed in the Ashlock Cemetery.

Lovie Alice Poindexter Thompson was born Nov. 10, 1937 in Clay County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerstle and Bertha Anderson Hammons; husband, Dewy Lee Poindexter; and grandchildren, John Christopher Poindexter and Tony Bennett.

Surviving relatives include: daughters, Debbie and husband Jerry Grogan and Anita and husband Michael Spears all of Celina and Suzanne Kolinski of Burkesville, KY; son, Johnny and wife Tiffany Poindexter of Celina; sisters, Geraldine Strong and Billie Jean Johnson; brothers, Buddy Hammons, Gerstle Hammons and Rich Hammons; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Bonnell S. Biles

Bonnell S. Biles, 68, of Columbus, IN passed away May 28 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Funeral services were held June 2 from the chapel of Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Stamp and Pastor Larry Fields officiating. Interment followed in the Garland Brook Cemetery.

Bonnell S. Biles was born Sept. 14, 1943 in Clay County. She was a member of the East Columbus Separate Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Martin Smith and Vesta B. Price Smith; sisters, Sybil Marie “Tootsie” Green and Wanda Jean “Bug” Lockett; sister-in-law, Helen Ann Eckert; and brother-in-law, Elmer Lex Green.

Surviving relatives include: husband, Clarence Earl Biles of Columbus, IN; daughter, Brenda L. and husband John Moore of Perrysburg, OH; grandsons, Ryan S. and wife Mindy Pool of Indianapolis, IN and Josh D. Moore of Aberdeen, MA; great grandchildren, Joshua A. Garza, Matthew R. Pool and Haley Nicole Pool all of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Herbert Donald Smith of Celina, Elbert Ronald and wife Crealoa Smith of Whitleyville and William Earl and wife Sue Smith of Elizabethtown, IN; sisters, Jewell Dean and husband Carlie Cross of Elizabethtown, IN, Dorthean and husband David Goodwin of Indianapolis, IN and Katie Marie Birdwell of Columbus, IN; brothers-in law, Windell A. Biles of North Vernon, IN. and Calvin Eckert of Elizabethtown, IN; sisters-in-law, Joan E. and husband Russell Cherry of Murfreesboro, Gayle and husband Joe Reeves of Carthage and Betty Sue and husband Billy Biles of Lafayette; and many nieces and nephews.
