Perry Norman Chaffin, 78, of Gainesboro passed away on May 27 at the Cookeville   Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held on May 30 at the Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Huffines and Bro. John Mabrey officiating. Interment followed in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery.

Perry Norman Chaffin was born Sept. 12, 1933 in Jackson County. He was a retired supervisor at Twin Lakes Telephone Company and was a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Norman Chaffin and Hattie Harris Chaffin; wife, Bettye Bryan Chaffin; and sister, Jamie Chaffin Hix.

Surviving relatives include his sons, Neal and wife Alma Chaffin of Gainesboro and Robert and wife Lila Chaffin of Madison; grandchildren, Teneal and wife Jackie Jenkins of Gainesboro and Bettina and husband Jon Dawson of Crab Orchard; great grandchildren, Mallory Lauren Jenkins, Jon Garrett Dawson and Gavin Perry Jenkins; and sisters, Mary and husband Billie Myers of Gainesboro, Velma Jo and husband Gary Norton of Gainesboro, Matilda Craighead of Cookeville and Geraldine and husband Jon Collins of Portland.

Russell McCoin of Garden City, MI passed away March 30.

Russell McCoin was a beloved father and husband.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Betty; children, Angelia, Richard and Rex; 10 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Ava and Mazel; and nieces and nephews and friends.

Ethel Ozetta Maxwell, 61, of Cookeville passed away May 30 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held June 2 at the Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Berry Cemetery.

Ethel Ozetta Maxwell was born June 27, 1950 in Cookeville. She was a cook at a day care center.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Grover Wimoth “Tob” Denson and Ova Ellis Denson; husband, Jerry Maxwell; brother, John Denson; and sisters, Betty Thompson and Katherine Haney.

Surviving relatives include her son, Larry Brown Jr. of Cookeville; daughter, Kristy and husband Charles Randolph of Cookeville; grandchildren, Justin, Christina and Caden Randolph and Lance Pippin; step – grandchildren, Katie Randolph, Valorie Randolph, Brittany Randolph and Charles Russel Randolph Jr. and Brianna Keen; brothers, Leon, Roger, Jerry and Wilmoth Denson all of Cookeville, Lonzo Denson of Silver Point and Joe Denson of Monterey; sisters, Barbara Moss and Joyce Tayse both of Cookeville, Lucille Langford and Wanda Dulworth both of Hilham.

Sandra Lynn Myers, 46, of Gainesboro passed away May 31 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held June 2 at the Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Pharris Cemetery.

Sandra Lynn Myers was born Oct. 9, 1965 in Nashville. She was of the Baptist faith and a nurse’s aide.

She was preceded in death by: her mother, Barbara Jo Nealon Allen; son, Ronnie Brown Jr.; maternal grandparents, Earl and Mary Nealon; and paternal grandparents, Charlie and Leva Myers.

Surviving relatives include her son, Dustan Myers of Gainesboro; father, Roger Myers and wife Margaret of Nashville; brother, Darren Wilmoth of Nashville; and sisters, Wendy and husband Jeff Bradshaw of Cookeville, Tracy Myers of Nashville and Tammy and husband Ricky Matthews of Nashville.
