Dr. J. Michael Allred


Dr. J. Michael Allred, 64, of Allred, formerly of Jamestown passed away May 26 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services were held May 30 from the Faith Baptist Tabernacle with Bro. Fred Allred, Bro. John Halliburton and Bro. Darrek Copeland officiating. Interment followed in the Cub Cemetery in Allred.

Pallbearers included: Dr. Jonathan Allred, Baley Allred, Andrew Allred, Jon Douglas Allred, Jacob Allred, James Robert Burnette, Trey Burnette and Dickie Mitchell.

Honorary pallbearers included: Bucky Parsons, Buck Parsons, Jim Vaden, Dave Robertson, J.W. Hudson, Joe Upton, Alvin Copeland, Carlin Smith, Aaron Poston, Kennith Cantrell, Lenard Ledbetter, Darrek Copeland, Bill Bowden and John Buchheit and cherished fellow dental professionals and classmates.

Dr. J. Michael Allred was born Jan. 3, 1948 in Monterey. He was a dentist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lowell “Bud” and Helen (Copeland) Allred; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Witt and Jewel (Coffee) Burnette.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Martha Allred; sons, Mikey Allred and Chelsea King and Joey Allred; sister, Jane (David) Mynatt; brother-in-law, James Robert Burnette; and sisters-in-law, Myra Burnette and Mildred Burnette.

Jennings Funeral Home in Jamestown was in charge of the arrangements.

Frankie Estelle Brown Johnson


Frankie Estelle Brown Johnson, 82, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away May 20 at her residence in Indianapolis. Funeral services were held May 24 at Upton Funeral Home with Bro. James Stephens Officiating. Interment followed in the Williams Cemetery.

Frankie Estelle Brown Johnson was born Nov. 6, 1929 in Clay County. She was a realtor and a member of Fountain Square Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel Ethridge and Aria Brown; husband, Mayford Johnson; and her children, Brenda Lackey and Michael Johnson.

Surviving relatives include: grandson, Kevin (Kelly) Lackey and great-grandson, Aaron Lackey, all of Greenwood, IN.

Upton Funeral Home was in charge of the local arrangements.
