Howard Lee Stafford
Howard Lee Stafford, 82, of Sparta passed away June 23 at Highland Medical Center in Sparta. Funeral services were held June 26 at the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with Bro. Harlan Simmons officiating. Interment followed in the Scott-Red Hill Cemetery in Jackson County with full military honors.
Pallbearers were: Glenn Rodgers, Cliff Harler, Howard Stafford, Danny McCloud, Michael Scott and Matthew Grenko.
Howard Lee Stafford was retired from Dacco, Inc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and affiliated with the Pistole Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Myrtle Lou Scott Stafford; son, Richard Stafford; stepbrother, J.B. Pigg; sister-in-law, Lana Scott; brother-in-law, Frank Hutchins; and nephew, David Scott.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Janice Hutchings Stafford; daughters, Angie and husband Cliff Harber of Knoxville, Trya Rodgers of Sparta, Kim Corson of Ohio, Debra and husband Sonny Grenko of Ohio and Pamela Brown of Ohio; son, Howard “Bogie” Stafford of Ohio; grandchildren, Ashlee, Megan and Taylor Rodgers all of Sparta and Matthew Grenko, Mandy Stafford and Tyler Stafford all of Ohio; great grandchildren, Alexis Stafford and Chris Watts both of Ohio.
Margaret Lynn, 72, of Cookeville passed away June 28 at Masters Health Care Center in Algood. Funeral services were held June 30 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tex Boles officiating. Interment followed in Overton Cemetery.
Margaret Lynn was born Oct. 22, 1939 in Jackson County. She was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Overton County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry H. and Arizona Phillips Lynn; and twin sister, Marion Lynn.
Surviving relatives include her cousins; and special friends at Masters Health Care Center and Cookeville Medical Center.
