Latta Marie Davis Ledbetter Copeland

Latta Marie Davis Ledbetter Copeland, 94, of Allred passed away June 19 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held June 22 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Bennie Sells and Bro. Cleston Ledbetter officiating. Interment followed in the Falling Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Dalton Hall, Matthew Hall, B.J. Ledbetter, Cameron Brown, Triston Brown and Kyle Almond.

Latta Marie Davis Ledbetter Copeland was born March 25, 1918 in Overton County. She was a founding member of the Shiloh Independent Missionary Baptist Church in the Allred Community and she loved her family and friends very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hickman and Emma Lee Smith Daivs; husbands, Willard Ledbetter and Herman Copeland; grandson, Barry Ledbetter; great great grandson, Jacob Young; great granddaughter, Alana Brown; great great granddaughter, Josalynn Cross; sister, Lydia “Bitty” Carr; brothers, Cecil Smith, Ira Davis, Walter Davis and Estle Davis; son-in-law, Kelly Brown.

Surviving relatives include her daughters, Velma Brown of the Allred Community and Veachel Cantrell and husband, Earl of Anderson, IN; son, Gary Ledbetter and wife Kay of the Dry Hollow Community; sister, Gladys Carr of Anderson, IN; grandchildren, Marla Day and husband, Brian of Indiana, Darla Reynolds and husband, David of Indiana, Tony Cantrell and wife, Rhonda of Indiana, Carla Condon of Indiana, Gina Hall and husband Jerry of Livingston, Tracy Brown of the Allred Community, Brian Ledbetter and wife, Jennifer of Cookeville, Jamie Pierce and husband, John of Spring Hill and Carolina Krolnik of Wisconsin; 23 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; and two special little furry friends Snow and Angel.

Louie E. McDonald

Electrician

Louie E. McDonald, 85, of Monroe passed away July 2 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held July 5 at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Pastor Caleb Bowling officiating. Interment followed in Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were: Larry Gunnels, Steve Ledbetter, Harold Ledbetter, Rick Ledbetter, Steve Smith and Darrell Ledbetter.

Louie E. McDonald was born April 15, 1927 in Overton County. He was an electrician/ Container Corp. and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lola (McDonald) McDonald; wife, Hilda E. McDonald; brother, Clyde McDonald; and sisters, Maurine Roberts and Allie Wright.

Surviving relatives include his brother-in-law, Ted and wife, Dimple Ledbetter of Livingston; sisters-in-law, Geraldine McDonald of Monroe and Audie Ledbetter of Livingston; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Rita Faye Nivens

Rita Faye Nivens, 56, of Livingston passed away July 1 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held July 5 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Linder officiating. Interment followed in Cash Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Gerald Allred, Jimmy Maynard, Don Maywell, Doc Matthews, Randall Allred and Clinton Allred.

Rita Faye Nivens was born Aug. 20, 1955 in Somerset, KY. She was a member of the Mount Gilliam Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Garneda (Allen) Anderson.

Surviving relatives include her daughters, Bridgett Allred, Roxanna Nevels and Bernice Nevels; grandchildren, Laura Neely, Luke Neeley, Diana Reagan and Miley Qualls; great grandchildren, Layla Neely, Troy Maynard and Oceana Maynard; brothers, James Norman Price, Benny Ray Price and Leroy Price; and nephew, James Price, Jr.

Charles A. Keisling

Charles A. Keisling, 80, of Livingston passed away July 1 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services were held July 3 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Hillier Duke officiating. Interment followed on Wednesday morning.

Pallbearers were: Drew Claud, Matt Davenport, Ian Robbins, Levi Ledbetter and Ed Beason.

Honorary pallbearers were: Alex Claud, Tommy Cripps and Joe Arney.

Charles A. Keisling was born Nov. 10, 1931. He was a member of the Eagle Creek Lodge 530 and served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Hardy and Clarice (Lacy) Keisling.

Surviving relatives include his son, Britt Keisling and wife, Helen; daughter, Cynthia Claud and husband, Travis; grandchildren, Brittany Davenport, Brandi Keisling, Nathan Keisling, Wesley Keisling, Kathryn Claud, Drew Claud and Alex Claud; and great grandchildren, Andrew Davenport and Mahala Davenport.

Bobbie Jean Gunnels

Bobbie Jean Gunnels, 73, of Rickman passed away July 1 at her home. Funeral services were held July 3 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Loftis officiating. Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Bobbie Jean Gunnels was born Feb. 2, 1939 in Overton County. She was a member of the Netherland Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobson and Oga (Dillon) Dale; brothers, James Dale, Clyde Dale and Charles Anderson; and sisters, Elise Stockton, Alene Tayman and Lois Helen Dale.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Charles McCoy Gunnels of Rickman; son, Joe Gunnels and wife, Beth of Rickman; daughter, Denise Turner and husband, Gary of Cookeville; and grandchildren, Lucas Gunnels and Leah Gunnels, both of Rickman.

Layton Elmo Cox

Layton Elmo Cox, 77, of Hilham passed away June 19 at his home. Funeral services were held June 21 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Cobb officiating. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Cemetery.

Layton Elmo Cox was born June 29, 1934 in Overton County. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Livingston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oplis and Oza Ann Phillips Cox; son, Michael E. Cox; and grandson, Michael E. Cox, II.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Velora Faye Cox; sons, David Cox and wife, Terri, Steve Cox and wife, Joanna and Bobby Joe Cox; daughters, Cindy Elrod and husband, Lloyd Ray, Teresa Johnson and husband, David, Angee Randolph and husband, Chris and Amanda Cox; 23 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Earnest J.C. Ledbetter

Earnest J.C. Ledbetter, 85, of Cookeville passed away July 1 at his home. Funeral services were held July 4 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Ledbetter officiating. Interment followed in the Bethel Cemetery.

Earnest J.C. Ledbetter was born June 21, 1927 in Hunter Cove. He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ras and Ina (Hogue) Ledbetter.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Myrtie (Davis) Ledbetter of Cookeville; son, David Ledbetter of Cookeville; daughters, Judy McDonald of Sparta, Jean Miller of Norman, OK, Barbara McCrary of Cookeville, June Stinson of Markelville, IN and Jeri Keesling of Markelville, IN; 10 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Master Aiden Powell Trull

Master Aiden Powell Trull, infant, of Allons passed away June 25 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Graveside services were held June 27 at Fellowship Cemetery with Bro. Randy Pickens officiating.

Master Aiden Powell Trull was born June 25 in Livingston.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy Grimsley.

Surviving relatives include his parents, Justin and Nicole Trull of Allons; sisters, Emily Trull and Mallory Trull of Allons; brothers, Austin Trull and Bryce Trull of Allons; grandparents, Ron and Lori Trull and Charlotte Grimsley; and great grandmother, Frances Grimsley.

Billy Joe Gibbons

Billy Joe Gibbons, 65, of Livingston passed away July 5 at Livingston Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held July 7 at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. The family chose cremation.

Billy Joe Gibbons was born on July 10, 1946.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Edward and Sarah Elvira (Barlow) Gibbons.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Carlene Gibbons of Livingston; sons, Brett Gibbons and wife Jammie and Brad Gibbons and wife Marsha all of Livingston; sister, Willie Bea McCoy of Cookeville; brothers, Burnis Gibbons and wife Monica of Lakewood, CA and Jackie Neal Gibbons and wife Sue of Rickman; and grandchildren, Haleigh, Marley, Shay and Elijah Gibbons.
