Herman Lee Stafford, 68, of Gainesboro passed away June 29 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held July 2 at the chapel of Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. David Sisco officiating. Interment followed in the Clark Hollow Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers: Peyton Scott, Tim Kernell, Alan Kernell, Wayne West, Wade Hensley, Jr. and Lanny Stafford.

Herman Lee Stafford was born Dec. 28, 1943 in Jackson County. He was a logger and a farmer and was a member of the Church of Christ. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Lee and Ethel Beatrice Stafford; wife, Syble Stafford; son, infant son Stafford; sister, Geraldine Matthews; and brother, Roy Stafford.

Surviving relatives include his daughters, Marsha and husband Elvis Scott of Moss and Darla and husband Keith Maynard of Moss; sons, Wesley and wife Rachel Stafford of Whitleyville and Jeff Stafford of Whitleyville; step-daughter, Ann Stafford of Red Boling Springs; step-sons, Randall and wife Christy Stafford of Red Boiling Springs and Paul Stafford of Whitleyville; grandchildren, Peyton, Zachary and Justin Scott and Eli Maynard, Emeree Stafford and Marisa Stafford.

Adelle Cason, 81, of Old Hickory passed away July 1 at Alive Hospice Skyline Madison Campus in Madison. Funeral services were held July 3 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with John Hiter officiating. Interment followed in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery.

Adelle Cason was born Sept. 17, 1930 in Jackson County. She was a nursing aide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. Gentry and Nellie Mae Smith Gentry; and husband, Willis Ralph Cason.
