Veronica Snow, 14, of Red Boiling Springs passed away July 8 at her residence. Funeral Services were held July 10 from the Anderson and Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers included: Jimmy Morgan, Danny Knight, Bobby Etheridge, Kimball Hall, Travis Davis and her dad, Phillip Snow. These men are the ones that helped save her life on June 24, 2001 when she was in a terrible accident almost drowning. In the 11 years since her accident, she graced her family with precious smiles and a lot of love.
Veronica Snow was born Jan. 20, 1998 in Sumner County. She was a student at Macon County Jr. High and participated in the Locks of Love Program twice donating her beautiful hair to benefit others. God has chosen her to become one of his special angels.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Darell and Wanda Pitcock Tucker.
Surviving relatives include: her parents, Phillip and Fay Tucker Snow of Red Boiling Springs; sisters and their companions, Adrianna Snow and Brandon Gross of Gatlinburg and Samantha Snow and Stephen Crabtree of Red Boiling Springs; paternal grandparents, Sam and Jewel Snow; uncle, Anthony Snow; aunt and uncle, Janie and Jeff Hauskin; cousins, Garron and Kyle Snow, Jordan and Joshua Hauskin, all of Lafayette.

Christie Kernell Newberry, 40, of Red Boiling Springs passed away July 9 at the Macon County General Hospital ER in Lafayette. Funeral Services were held July 13 from the Anderson and Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Jack Honeycutt officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.
Christie Kernell Newberry was born January 25, 1972 in Jackson County. She was a former employee of Macon County General Hospital in the housekeeping department.
She was preceded in death by son, Cody Newberry and father-in-law, Bruce Newberry.
Surviving relatives include: parents, Roy and Helen Lynn Kernell of Red Boiling Springs; husband, Steve Newberry; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Crystal Newberry; grandchildren, Curtis, Kylie and Kolton Newberry; sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Chris McDonald; mother-in-law, Judy Hawkins; brother-in-law, Mark Newberry; sister-in-law, Stephanie Newberry all of Red Boiling Springs; nieces, Kalista McDonald of Red Boiling Springs, Salena and Cheyene Miller of Livingston; nephews, Cameron and wife Brandy McDonald of Lafayette and Dakota Newberry of Gainesboro.
