William Donald Sullivan

William Donald Sullivan, 78, passed away Nov. 1 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 3 from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Phillips officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant View Cemetery.

William Donald Sullivan was born Jan. 27, 1934 in Jackson County. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. He loved to fish and hunt, loved home cooking and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He never met a stranger and was loved by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Isaac Mike Sullivan and Lela Ledbetter Sullivan Kuykendall; brothers Homer and Howard Sullivan and a son Clarence Trobaugh.

Surviving relatives include his wife Vella Deweese Sullivan of Baxter; sons and daughters-in-law Donnie and Kay Sullivan of Gainesboro and David and Anita Trobaugh of England; daughters and son-in-law Wanda and Richard Sharp of Gainesboro, Diane Johnson and friend and Jeff Roberts of Algood and Valerie Simms of Nashville; sisters and brother-in-law Margaret and Preston Waites and Sarah Sullivan both of Cookeville; brother and sister-in-law Donnell and Vallie Sullivan of Cookeville; sisters-in-law Dorothy Sullivan of Michigan and Nancy Sullivan Huddleston of Cookeville; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Larry E. Martin


Larry E. (Moe) Martin, 49, passed away Oct. 27 at his residence. Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at the chapel of Jackson County Funeral Home with Bro. Sam Mainord officiating. Interment followed at Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville Community of Jackson County.

Larry E. Martin was born May 10, 1963 in Gainesboro. He was a machinist.

Surviving relatives include his parents Mary (Trisdale) Martin and Charlie E. Martin; brother David E. Martin and his wife Denise of Gainesboro; daughter Katie H. Martin of Gainesboro; son Aaron Martin of Cookeville; niece Allison Martin and nephew Adam Martin.

Louise Hastings Rudolph

Retired L.P.N.

Louise Hastings Rudolph, 82, passed away Oct. 24 at Wellington Parc Assisted Living Center in Owensboro. Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Hackett Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home in Kempville with Edward L. Anderson officiating. Interment was held at John L. Clark Cemetery in Gainesboro on Oct. 31 with a committal service.

Louise Hastings Rudolph was born Burnetta Louise Hall on July 10,1930 in the Big Bottom Community of Jackson County. She was employed as an L.P.N. at N.H.C. on Bunker Hill Road.

She was preceded in death by her parents Benton M. and Bessie Ray Hall; her first husband Joe A. Hastings; her second husband Stanley Rudolph; brothers Russell, Carl, Ray and Joe Hall and a nephew James R. Hall Jr.

Surviving relatives include her daughter Susan Hastings and her husband Bob Lamar Jr. of Plain, WA; Rhonda Hastings Kelley and husband Greg Kelly of Owensboro; grandson Bryan Allison of Cookeville; a stepdaughter Pat Jenkins of Augusta, GA; step-grandchildren Pam Thiewes of Atlanta, GA, Jill Wright of Jacksonville, FL and Tim Jenkins of Memphis and niece Rebecca Hall Walsh of Oxnard, CA.
