Lucille Bilbrey

Nurse’s Aide

Lucille Bilbrey, 87, of Livingston passed away Nov. 20 at Overton County Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Nov. 24 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene McCowan officiating. Interment followed in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Lucille Bilbrey was born July 2, 1925, in Overton County. She was a nurse’s aide and also a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Livingston.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elbert Rue Bilbrey; parents Johnny and Mary Barlow Greer; son Lester Eugene Bilbrey; brother Buddy Greer; and sisters Annie Wilson, Arxie Dishman and Lorene Talley.

Surviving relatives include her sons and daughters-in-law Jerry and Joyce Bilbrey of Livingston and Judy Bilbrey of Jamestown; sister Gladys Garrett of Livingston; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were William and Wesley Bilbrey, Jared Mullins, Derek Romines, Justin Rogers and Charles Dishman.

James Clifton “Peanut” Cravens

James Clifton “Peanut” Cravens, 22, of Hilham passed away Nov. 15 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 20 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Cravens officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.

James Clifton “Peanut” Cravens was born April 3, 1990, in Overton County. He was a student.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather James “Buck” Coleman.

Surviving relatives include his father Stacy and Donna Cravens, and mother Deborah and Spike Auberson; grandparents Cliff and Brenda Cravens, and Patricia Coleman; and special cousin Maddox Coleman.

Serving as pallbearers were Tylor Stephens, Brayden Barrett, Josh Carwile, Brad Pendergraft, Cody Staffori, Cody Coleman, Bruce Lamb and Tracy McDonald. Honorary pallbearers were Casey Coleman, Joe Eldridge, Frank Coleman and Levi Cravens.

Ricky Hatcher

Ricky Hatcher, 55, of the Union Hill Community in Clay County passed away Nov. 8 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 12 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina with Bro. Tim White officiating. Interment followed in the Union Hill Cemetery.

Ricky Hatcher was born Nov. 19, 1956, in Bakersfield, CA. He was a carpenter and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his father Girvus Moore; mother Isabelle Hatcher; and sister Linda Lee.

Surviving relatives include his wife Lizabeth Hatcher of Red Boiling Springs; daughters Quiana (Sonny) Silk of Red Boiling Springs and Lori Hatcher of the Union Hill Community; sons Daniel Hatcher of Cookeville and Nathan (Misty) Grace of Lafayette; brothers Orville (Francis) Hatcher of Moss and Ken (Shirley) Moore of California; brother-in-law Kenneth Lee; and grandchildren Caylin Silk, Gavin Silk, Gunnar Silk, Kyle (Karlee) Grace, Dallas Grace and Logan Grace.

Billy Ray Dickerson

Billy Ray Dickerson, 62, of Nashville and formerly of the Hilham Community in Overton County, passed away Nov. 21 at Nashville General Hospital at Meharry. Funeral services were held Nov. 24 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Ayers officiating. The family chose cremation.

Billy Ray Dickerson was born July 15, 1950, in Overton County. He was a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents Oakley J. and Tilda Allen Dickerson.

Surviving relatives include his daughter Tina Naff and husband Andy of Hilham; brothers Clyde Dickerson, Dalmus Dickerson, both of Hilham; grandchildren Jaden and Elley Naff; and nephews Gary and Jimmy Dickerson.

Beecher H. Bilbrey

Beecher H. Bilbrey, 96, of the Pleasant Ridge Community passed away Nov. 24 at the Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center in Monterey. Funeral services were held Nov. 27 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Key and Rev. Nolan Cantrell officiating. Interment followed in the Shady Grove Cemetery.

Beecher H. Bilbrey was born April 22, 1916, in Brotherton, TN. He was a farmer and also U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was a Baptist in faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Raines Bilbrey; parents Dillard and Polly Cunningham Bilbrey; and sisters Otha Bilbrey, Vauda Brown, Verla Mason and Bertha Reynolds.

Surviving relatives include his daughter and son-in-law Jeannie Karen and Lester Simpson of Alpine; son and daughter-in-law Allen and Katherine Bilbrey of the Pleasant Ridge Community; sister Jewel Downey of Anderson, IN; grandchildren Joyce Key of Rickman, Gary Bilbrey of Monterey, Gail Miller of Summersville, MO, and Teresa Smith of the Pleasant Ridge Community; and 10 great grandchildren.

Estell Fikes Sims

Homemaker And Steel Fabricators Employee

Estell Fikes Sims, 79, of Scottsville, KY, passed away Nov. 23 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at Goad Funeral Home in Scottsville with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating. Interment followed in the Crescent Hill Cemetery.

Estell Fikes Sims was a native of Celina. She was a homemaker and former employee of Thomas & Skinners Steel Fabricators. She attended East Willow Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer Lee Fikes and Ruby Ann Rich Fikes; son Michael Wayne Hayes; and brother Joe Fikes.

Surviving relatives include her sons Kenneth Edward Sims and wife Anna Jean of Greenfield, IN; George Lee Hayes and wife Phyllis of Clayton, IN; Douglas Reed Hayes and wife Teresa of Westmoreland, TN; Dennis Eugene Hayes and wife Vicky of Scottsville, KY, and Raymond Dale Anderson and wife Heather of Bargersville, IN; daughter Linda Ann Hendrix and husband Follis of Scottsville, KY; brother Bill Fikes and wife Doris of Celina; sister Helen Daily of Celina; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
