Doris C. Richardson
Doris C. Richardson, 81, passed away Nov. 22 at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro. Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Scott officiating. Interment followed at Scott-Red Hill Cemetery.
Doris C. Richardson was born July 18, 1931 in Jackson County. She was a factory worker and affiliated with the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents John Parish Richardson and Buna Hamlet Richardson; brothers Robert Odell Richardson and Joel Richardson; sisters Willie Scantland and Velma R. Smith; and sister-in-law Sue Richardson.
Surviving relatives include brothers Dalton Lee and wife Janie Richardson and Ben Richardson; sister Dorothy Bradford and sister-in-law Pearl Richardson.
Dorothy Pate, 85, passed away Nov. 18 at the NHC Hillview Retirement Center in Columbia. Funeral services were held at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia with Edward L. Anderson officiating. Interment followed at the Witcher Cemetery in the Bagdad Community.
Dorothy Pate was a longtime member of the Bagdad Church of Christ and a member of the Greymere Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Franklin “Ben” Agee and Vallie Minnear Agee; sisters Betty Ruby Agee, Fannie Ramsey, Louise Ramsey, Mary Leonard and Thomasrene Bray; husband Druey Donel Pate; and brothers Walton Agee, John W. “Dink” Agee, Amon Agee, Wade Agee, Benjamin “Bunk” Agee Jr. and Gartha T. “Garr” Agee.
Surviving relatives include her son Roy and wife Linda Jo Pate; grandchildren Berrie Pate Smith, Jeremy Joseph and wife Brooke Pate, Brewster Neal and wife Shelby Pate; and great grandchildren Hadleigh Belle “Haddie” Pate, Samual Owen “Sam” Pate, Chris Smith, Ava Catherine Pate and Great Elizabeth Pate.
James Hugh “J.W.” or “Birddog” Wilson
James Hugh “J.W.” or “Birddog” Wilson, 61, passed away Nov. 23 at his home. Funeral services will be held Dec. 8 at the Jackson County Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cubb Creek Cemetery.
James Hugh Wilson was born March 23, 1951.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Martin Wilson; and brothers Eddie Wayne Wilson and Jack Henry Wilson.
Surviving relatives include his father James Harold Wilson; sons Jackie Dale Wilson, James Bradley Wilson and Brandon Lee Wilson; daughters Ann Wilson and Teresa Lester; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother Dale Wilson; sister Jani Hardee; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
