Jewell Carwile Barlow, 94, passed away Feb. 10 at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro. Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Doyle Sadler officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery.

Jewell Carwile Barlow was born Nov. 26, 1918 in Overton County She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview Free Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Della Thrasher Carwile; brothers Layton, James, Leslie Paul and Lloyd L. Carwile; sister Hazel Stafford; and son-in-law Vestal Dillon.

Surviving relatives include her husband Marion “Sim” Barlow; son Billy and wife Betty Jean Barlow; daughter Betty Dillon;  grandsons Wayne and wife Tina Dillon, Gary Dillon and Jeff and wife Carolyn Dillon; five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law Lillie Carwile.

Vernon Glenn Rhoton

Vernon Glenn Rhoton, 58, passed away Feb. 10. Funeral services were held at Rusko Funeral Home in Detroit, MI with burial at Michigan Memorial Cemetery at Flatt Rock.

Vernon Glenn Rhoton was born June 15, 1954 and was a Church of Christ Christian.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leo Rhoton and Geneva Mahan-Rhoton Cooper.

Surviving relatives include his wife Darlene Adkins Rhoton; daughter Callie Marie Rhoton; sisters Nancy D. Hamlet of Gainesboro, Margie M. Massa of Chesterfield, MI, Linda L. Rich of Wyandotte, MI and Carol S. Cooper Sergo of Almont, MI; and brothers Lloyd A. Rhoton of Bloomington Springs, Robert L. Rhoton and Carl L. Cooper both of Michigan. Vernon was loved by everyone and had lots of friends.

Willie Mae Pediago Allen

Willie Mae Pediago Allen, 91, passed away Feb. 9 at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Funeral services were held Feb. 11 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Pharris Cemetery.

Willie Mae Pediago Allen was born Dec. 6, 1921 in Kentucky. She was a homemaker and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Washie Pediago and Naomi Pediago;  husband Clarence C. Allen and; son Ray C. Allen.

Surviving relatives include son Aldon and wife Diane Allen; daughter Betty Stewart; grandchildren Lisa and husband David Collins, Wendy and husband Jeff Bradshaw, Aldon Allen and Brandon Mitchell Allen; seven great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren Allison Jones and Hailey Due.

Emogene Mayberry

Emogene Mayberry, 79, passed away Feb. 10 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Martin and Bro. Randy Bybee officiating. Interment followed at the Mabery Family Cemetery.

Emogene Mayberry was born March 15, 1933 in Jackson County. She was a factory worker and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lon Robinson and Frances Chaffin Robinson; and brothers Willard, Oscar, Larry and Hollis Lee Robinson.

Surviving relatives include her husband Alton Mayberry; sons Billy C. and wife Edna Mabery and Roger Dale and wife Carol Mayberry; daughter Barbara and husband John Mabery; grandchildren Leslie and husband Russell Wattenbarger, Chris and wife Elizabeth Mabery, Andrea and husband Jeff Guillote, Amanda and husband Mike Birdwell and LauraBeth Mayberry; great grandchildren Hunter Wattenbarger, Heath Wattenbarger, Isabella Mabery, Allie Mabery, Harrison Guillote and Hayley Jo Guillote; brother C.D. and wife Janice Robinson; sister Willene and husband Fred Heady; and sister-in-law Modene Robinson.

Charlene Ann Kirkpatrick

Charlene Ann Kirkpatrick, 43, passed away Feb. 1 at Cumberland River Hospital in Clay County. Memorial services were held Feb. 6 at Jackson County Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Hefner officiating.

Charlene Ann Kirkpatrick was born Feb. 3, 1969 in Dayton, OH.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Jackson and her grandparents Russell and Laurine Jackson.

Surviving relatives include her husband Robert Kirkpatrick; mother Lila Sawyer Buck; daughter Samantha Greer; sister Vickie and husband Randy Rogers; niece Candace Rogers; great nephew Charles Rogers; cousins Teresa L. and Mallory P. Jackson; and Aunt Pearl and Uncle Ralph Jackson.
