Harold Gene Wix
Harold Gene Wix, 77 of Celina passed away Aug. 19 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Aug. 22 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Larry Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Dustin Wix, Roger Garrett, Rush Rich, Joey Rich, James Gray and James Key served as pallbearers. Jack Jones, Tony Netherton, Danny Kendall, Danny Riley, Boyd Parsons, James Strode and Wayne Rich served as honorary pallbearers. He was born May 16, 1939 in Macon County. He was a husband, father, member of the local Masonic Lodge, retired Tri-County Electric employee and a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Hayes and Lillian (Rutledge) Wix; brothers, J.D. Wix and Jimmy Wix; sister Frances Wix; and grandchild, Derek Meador. Surviving relatives include his wife, Rachel Jeanette Wix of Celina; sons, Harold Wix Jr. and wife Sandra of Celina, Martin Christopher Wix and fiancé Melanie of Celina, Richard Wix and wife Leslie of RBS; daughter, Teresa Meador and husband Bruce of Hermitage Springs; brothers, Fred Wix and wife Pat of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jerry Wix and wife Judy of Westmoreland, David Wix and wife Nancy of Lafayette, Maxie Wix and wife Pat of Florida; sisters, Shirley Carter and husband Ray Dean of Murfreesboro, Barbara Smith and husband Ronald of Pleasant Shade, Melba Carter and companion, Lynn of Trousdale County, Peggy Fannin of Nashville; grandchildren, Danny and Darrell Meador, Dustin, Danielle, Tyler and Kara Wix, Haley Barnes, Weston and Austin Browning; great-grandchildren, Danny Meador Jr., Brittney, Dalston, Breeley, Braisy, Emma, Brooklyn, Eli and Levi Meador, Jaylynn, Illa and Eli Morris, Lacey, Emma, Aiden and Carter Wix.; great-great grandchild, Jerek Meador; and a host of friends also survive.

Cynthia Joy Huddleston, 47 of Celina, passed away at her residence on Sept. 2. Funeral services were held on Sept. 7 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Donald Bryant officiating. She was born May 22, 1969. She had worked in the garment industry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Van and Wilma Pearl (Stephens) Scott; sister, Cathy Loraine Dulworth. Surviving relatives include her son, Joseph Key of Cookeville, daughter, Tasha Key of Celina; boyfriend, Bryon Beck of Celina; sister, Marion Beck of Celina; brothers, Jessie Scott, Timmy Scott and Stevie Scott of Clay County; grandchildren, Waylen and Jacob Davis. Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
