Kaula Marie Allen, 28, passed away Jan. 21 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Flynn Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 5, 1988 in Overton County. She was a factory worker and a Christian.

Surviving relatives include her father, Roger Allen of Gainesboro; mother, Mary Bonham of Hilham; one brother, Cory Allen of Gainesboro; two half brothers, Josh Bonham and Andrew Green, both of Hilham; best friend, Rachel Stamps of Celina; fiancé, Derrick Stafford of Gainesboro; a host of family and friends.

 

Curtis Lee Loftis

Factory Worker

Curtis Lee Loftis, 48, passed away Jan. 10. The family has chosen cremation. Crest Lawn Funeral Home and Cremation was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Jan. 26, 1968 in Jackson County. He was a factory worker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Roy Loftis; grandparents, John P. and America Loftis and Gurstle and Easter Ellis.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Leda Lykins Loftis; his mother, Peggy Abney and step father, David Abney; two sisters, Vickie Loftis Brown and Kristina Abney Douglas; three nephews; one niece; a host of family and friends.

 

Myra Johnn

Myra Johnn, 90, passed away Jan. 25 at Mabry Health Care Center. Graveside services were held Jan. 27 at John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Don Bryant officiating. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 11, 1926 in Jackson County. She was a member of the Lakeview Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Delia Keathley.

Surviving relatives include her loving daughter, Rhonda Keathley.

 

Nancy May Scott

Factory Worker

Nancy May Scott, 72, passed away Jan. 24 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Scott officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Oct. 29, 1944 in Jackson County. She was a factory worker and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcom and Bertha Long; two brothers, Clifton Long and Bryan Long; two sisters, Pearl Smith and Peggy Scott.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Jerry Scott of Gainesboro; one son, Robert Scott of Gainesboro; one daughter, Tammy Kernell of Gainesboro; one granddaughter, Niki Kernell of Gainesboro; two great grandchildren, Trent George and Kane Cobble; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 

Donna Faye Shannon Young

Donna Faye Shannon Young, 70, passed away Jan. 19 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville. The family has chosen cremation. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Feb. 13, 1946 in Sparta.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaines Shannon and Hallie Shannon; one brother and sister-in-law, J.C. and Mattie Shannon.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, Sharon (Jason) Bowman of Gainesboro; three grandchildren, Vicki Allen, Brittany Allen, and Deric Bowman; two great grandchildren, Ethan Stafford and Bailey Stafford; two brothers, Bobby (Hattie) Shannon of Sparta, and Billy (Jessie) Shannon of Ohio.
