Edna Pyron Jackson

Factory Worker

Edna Pyron Jackson, 70, passed away May 17 at her residence. Funeral services were held May 21 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Hubert Jones officiating. Interment followed at Pyron Family Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Feb. 14, 1947 in Old Hickory. She was a factory worker at Nielsen and Bainbridge and was a member of the Cubb Creek Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Ethel Denton Pyron; her husband, Kenneth Jackson; one daughter, Paula Ann Jackson; one brother, James Pyron.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Mounce Jackson and Tim Jackson, both of Gainesboro; two grandsons, Travis and Tyler Jackson, both of Gainesboro; one brother, Wallace Pyron of Mt. Juliet; two sisters, Ann Dedman and Elese Taylor, both of Mt. Juliet; special friend, Cathy Hopkins of Gainesboro.

 

Donnie Meadows

Mowing Company

Donnie Meadows, 56, passed away May 19 at his residence. Funeral services were held May 21 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed at John Young Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Aug. 5, 1960 in Putnam County. He worked for a mowing company cutting state right of ways. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Erma Sue Meadows; three brothers, Ricky Steve Meadows, Ronnie Meadows, and Robert “Buddy” Meadows; two sisters, Edith Louise Meadows and Sally May Meadows; one half brother, Billy Joe Stafford.

Surviving relatives include two brothers, Roger Dale (Rose) Meadows and Bobby Ray Meadows, all of Gainesboro; four sisters-in-law, Dawn Meadows of Gainesboro, Deborah Rush Meadows of Gainesboro, Janet Stafford of Livingston, and Roberta Hunter of Cookeville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Edna “Cheryl” Hensley

Edna “Cheryl” Hensley, 40, passed away May 21 at her residence. Funeral services were held May 24 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Hensley officiating. Interment followed at Cookeville City Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 1, 1976 in Putnam County.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dude and Agnes Gentry and Hoover and Edna Chaffin; one uncle, Terry Lynn Hensley; great grandparents, Odell and Ruby Hensley.

Surviving relatives include her parents, Danny and Helen Hensley of Gainesboro; paternal grandparents, Earmon and Erlene Hensley of Gainesboro; grandmother, Ann Chaffin of Cookeville; uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

There are not enough words to express how thankful we are for the outpouring of love, thoughts, prayers, kind words of support, food, and bereavement gifts We received from our community of friends who love Cheryl and her family.  A very special thank you to her pallbearers, the staff of Anderson Upper Cumberland funeral home and Bro. Raymond Hensley for the service. We also want to thank our church family at Liberty Church of Christ on Liberty Church Road for the meal.
