Breakfast And Lunch Continues To Be Provided To Students

Director of Schools Joe D. Barlow has announced that for the upcoming school year, all Jackson County students will continue to receive their breakfast and lunch meal at no charge. This is possible through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the Healthy, Hunger-free Kids Act (HHFKA) of 2010. CEP is a universal meal plan within the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs that permits eligible school districts to provide meal service at no charge, regardless of economic status. All four Jackson County Schools are among approximately 20,000 schools nationwide participating in CEP.
