Plumber

Michael Stephen Davidson, 29, passed away on July 29 in DeKalb Co. Funeral services were held Aug. 3 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Floyd Farris officiating. Interment followed at Richmond Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Sept. 29, 1987 in Davidson County, He was a plumber.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William A. “Buzzy” Hale and Loyd Walker.

Surviving relatives included one son, Tallen Michael Davidson of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Marley-Shea Davidson of Jamestown; parents, Danny and Stephany Strickland of Hartsville; grandmothers, Carol A. Hale of Carthage and Lois Walker of Gainesboro; grandfather, Stephen Humphrey of Gallatin; one sister, Paige Montgomery of Hartsville; several aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

 

Gladys Lucille Phann

Housekeeper/Caretaker

Gladys Lucille Phann, 91, passed away Aug. 1 at Signature Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Aug. 6 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Dunn, Bro. Don Bryant, and Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed at John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Sept. 17, 1925 in Jackson County. She was a housekeeper and a caretaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos B. Smith and Katie Hix Smith; her husband, Reggie Elberth Phann; one son, Jimmy Joe Phann; one daughter, Brenda Sue Heady; two brothers, Cecil F. Smith and Charles Fred Smith; one grandson, Ricky Head.

Surviving relatives include one son and two daughters-in-law, Junior (Deborah) Phann and Kathy Phann of Gainesboro; two daughters, Faye (Dwane) Head and Joyce (Corbit) Herd of Gainesboro; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Ann Harper of Gainesboro; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
