Randall Winningham, 40, passed away Sept. 22 in Birmingham, Ala. Funeral services were held Sept. 26 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Judd officiating. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Dec. 18, 1976 in Orange County, Florida. He was a truck driver.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Dawn Marie Winningham of Whitleyville; two sons, Austin Winningham and Phillip Carpenter; two daughters, Crystal Carpenter and Kelsi Carpenter; father, James Winningham; mother, Carolyn Carter; one brother, Jimmy Winningham of Cookeville; one sister, Angela Hughes of Sparta; one expected grandchild. Cremation was chosen.
Cheri E. Crabtree
Cheri E. Crabtree, 32, passed away Sept. 27 in Livingston. Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Lynn Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She was born Oct. 20, 1984 in Jackson County. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Crabtree; maternal grandparents, Lucian and Mary Scott; uncles, Edgar Lucian Scott and Billy Edward Christian; aunt, Patricia Ann Christian; one nephew, Jason “Mounce” Goolsby and two nieces, Kyra Lashae Rose Christian and Amanda Hope Goolsby.
Surviving relatives include her two sons, Shawn Zachary Crabtree and Elijah Lee Crabtree both of Gainesboro; parents, Kenneth Lee Christian, Sr. and Glenda Scott Christian of Gainesboro; grandparents, Frank and Lillie Mae Christian of Celina; two brothers, Kenneth Lee Christian Jr. of Gainesboro and Jackie Shannon Christian of Livingston; one sister Angie Amanda Goolsby of Celina; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Heavy equipment Operator
Mr. Butch Stewart age 57 of the Smith Branch Community, a heavy equipment operator and also operator of Alf Stewart Construction Co. in the Monoville Community, was pronounced dead on arrival at 7:35 p.m. Sunday evening September 24, 2017 at the Riverview Regional Medical Center E. R. in Carthage after suffering a fatal heart attack while exiting his automobile at the home of friends in the Bagdad Community.
Mr. Stewart was at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where Eld. James “Pee Wee” Massey officiated at the Wednesday morning September 27th funeral services from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home. Following the 11 a.m. services burial was with his other family members in the John L. Clark Cemetery in the Stone Community outside Gainesboro.
Born Gene Alford Stewart Jr. on February 11, 1960 at the former Thayer S. Wilson Clinic on Main Street North in Carthage where Poindexter Reality is now located, he was the oldest child of three children of Gene Alfred “Alf” Stewart Sr. of the Indian Creek Community in Jackson County and the late Linnie Beatrice Ramsey Stewart who died at the age of 75 on February 4, 2011.
His only brother, Phillip Dale Stewart died on May 22, 2010 at the age of 45.
Mr. Stewart attended the Smith County High School through his freshman year and received his General Education Degree.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his father are his twin sons, Darrell and Charles Stewart both of the Monoville Community; sister, Karen Stewart Robinson and husband Wayne of the Pleasant Shade Community and son, William Stewart; granddaughter, Charlie Rena Stewart of Chestnut Mound; fiancée, Sherry Albritton of the Smith Branch Community.
