Terri Donita Loftis, 54, passed away Jan. 21 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Memorial services were held Jan. 23 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jordan Bryant, Bro. Les Ditto and Bro. Jay Loyd. The family has chosen cremation. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 28, 1963 in Booneville, Ark. She was a paralegal and a member of the Lakeview Church of Christ. She was an avid University of Tennessee fan.

Surviving relatives include sons, Cruz (Michela) Loftis of Carthage and Jason Loftis of Gainesboro; daughter, Jada (Daniel) Padgett of Carthage; grandchildren, Tucker, Beau and Colt Padgett; parents, Don and Anita Bryant of Gainesboro; brother, Shelby (Donna) Bryant of Gainesboro; nephews, Jordan Bryant and Travis Bryant; great nephew, Knox Bryant; father of her children, Tim Loftis; special furry friend, Robi.

Ann Johnson

Family Service Worker

Ann Johnson, 93, passed away Jan. 25 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 28 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. John Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Byers Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Nov. 1, 1924 in Willow Grove. She was a family service worker at Shiloh Head Start and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mose Stover and Pearl Greenwood Stover; husband, Ernest “Pap” Johnson; sisters, Rae Langford, Bonita Little and Gay Brooks; two infant brothers.

Surviving relatives include sons, Philip E. Johnson and Ricky J. Johnson, both of Gainesboro; daughter-in-law, Susan Johnson of Gainesboro; sister, Connie Francis of Glasgow; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Scott Brandon “Scotty” Wade

Scott Brandon “Scotty” Wade, 42, passed away Jan. 19 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 21 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Jason Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Union Hill-Flatt Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Sept. 21, 1975 in Gainesboro. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a wonderful uncle and friend. He loved video games and fast cars.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Wade; his paternal grandparents, Verble and Mildred Wade; aunts and uncles, Bill Walker, Michael Ragland, Polly Martin and Michael Wade; and step grandfather, Coy Ragland; great aunt, Sue Messick.

Surviving relatives include mother, Linda Walker Jackson of Gainesboro; maternal grandmother, Faye Spivey Ragland of Gainesboro; brother, Joey (Tonya) Wade of Silver Point; sister, Dana (Phillip) Robinson of Bloomington Springs; nieces and nephews, Daniel (Chelsea) Robinson, Tiffany Robinson, Hope Wade and Olivia Wade; great nephews, Landyn Robinson and Gracyn Robinson; special cousin, Pippa Pope; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Clifton Goolsby

Clifton Goolsby, 86, passed away Jan. 25 at Hospice Center in Athens, Ga. Funeral services were held Jan. 21 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Stockton officiating. Interment followed at John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Jan. 7, 1932 in Clay County. He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Gainesboro. He was a former business owner and retiree of J.C. Penney’s.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Champ and Pearlie Goolsby; son, Dwight Goolsby; wife, Ann (Tootsie) Goolsby; second wife, Wilma Byers; brothers, Kenneth Goolsby and Marlin Goolsby.

Surviving relatives include sister, Vickey Goolsby Apple of Cookeville; son, Michael (Sylvia) Goolsby of Colbert, Ga; grandsons, Spence (Shai Littlejohn) Goolsby of Brentwood and Adam (Irene) Goolsby of Lakenheath, England; great grandsons, Brenden Goolsby, Ayden Goolsby and Garrick Goolsby; great granddaughter, Isabella; uncle, Vester Boles of New Castle, Ind; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
