Fara Miller, 64, passed away Feb. 8 at her residence. Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Sept. 10, 1953 in Memphis. She taught for 16 years at Tennessee Technological University’s School of Nursing. She was a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Dr. James E. Miller of Gainesboro; son, Rod (Rachael) Miller of Nashville; daughter, Lauren Miller of Beverly Hills, Calif; parents, John McCue Cox Jr. and Billie Lovelady Cox of Memphis; brother, Chris Cox of Memphis.

Margaret Imogene Robinson Brazle

Margaret Imogene Robinson Brazle, 80, passed away Feb. 8 at her daughter’s residence in Whitleyville. Funeral services were held Feb. 10 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Huffins and Earl Brazle Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born June 12, 1937 in Detroit, Mich. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Comer Lee Robinson and Bessie Lee Haney Robinson; brothers, James, Lilbern, Jessie, Frank, Johnny, and Issac Robinson; sisters, Louise, Martha, Gracie and Evelyn; grandson, Jason Lewis Brazle.

Surviving relatives include brother-in-law, Carl Robinson of Detroit; daughters, Debbie (Bruce) Skimmyhorn, Gail (Jackie) Ellis, and Vickey (Jimmy) Cowan; sons, Earl (Pam) Brazle, Rickey (Loretta Mabry) Brazle, and Garry (Sandra) Brazle; grandchildren, Bruce Wayne Skimmyhorn and Jennier (Marti) Neil, Gregory Ellis and Tina Ellis, Robert Brazle, Zachary (Ashley) Brazle, Sabrina Brazle, Seth Brazle, Jessica Brazle, Jamie (Andy) Ledbetter, Clay (Brandy) Adcock, Ryan (Amanda) Vinson, and Daniel Cummings; great grandchildren, McKenzie, Grayson, and Nora Kate Neil, Hunter Ellis, Olivia Lindsey, Jason, Brooklyn and Sophia Brazle, Libby Grace and Finley Brazle, Ava Marie Brazle, Cydney, Alexa, and Luna Brazle, Ella Faye Head, Riley, Emma and Lucy Vinson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Kimberly Sue Whitehead, 41, passed away Feb. 8 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Judd officiating. Interment followed at Boiling Springs Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 28, 1976 in Cookeville. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willie J. Peek and Ruby Elise Peek; paternal grandparents, Albert Eugene Whitehead and Edna Frances Smith, uncle, Marshall Wayne Peek.

Surviving relatives include son, Eric Luke Whitehead of Athens; daughters, Emily Brook Mohler, Erica Lashay Mohler and Grace June Corona, all of Cookeville, and Jody Dianne Corona of Middleton; parents, Albert Luke Whitehead and Norma Jean Peek; brother, Jeremy Adam Whitehead of Baxter; sisters, Chasity Anne Bryant and Ashley Mashay Whitehead, both of Cookeville.

Liddie B. Thomas, 77, passed away Feb. 13 at her daughter’s residence. Funeral services were held Feb. 16 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Collins officiating. Interment followed at John Young Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Oct. 22, 1940 in Jackson County. She was a factory worker at Nielsen and Bainbridge. She was a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Lewis Hensley and Prudy Ann Hensley; husband, James William “Harry Bill” Thomas; son, James Noel Thomas; brother, Willis “Bear” Hensley; sister, Barbie Sterry.

Surviving relatives include sons, Willliam Wayne Thomas of Gainesboro, Richared Gene Thomas of Smithville and Travis (Jennifer) Thomas of Gainesboro; daughters, Brenda (Tim) Collins of Gainesboro and Linda (Ben) Crossman of Fairfield, OH; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Newman of Ashland City; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Christene Wiley, 84, passed away Feb. 12 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Graveside services were held Feb. 15 at Smyrna Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born Sept. 19, 1933 in Jackson County. She was an auto factory worker. She was a member of the Dodson Branch Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Craton Bull and Sarah Bean Bull; grandchild, Matthew Haramija; eleven brothers and sisters.

Surviving relatives include husband, R.B. Wiley of Cookeville; sons, Jackie Wiley of Warren, MI, Ralph (Donna) Wiley of Jackson County, and Glen Wiley of Warren, MI; daughters, Charlotte Sublett of Jackson County, Nancy (Dewey) Pippin of Jackson County and Sandy Wiley of Warren, Mich; brother, Ernest Craton Bull Jr. of Sumner County; sisters, Ivory Allen of Jackson County and Joann Dishman of Sumner County; twenty grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.

Peggy Virginia Jones, 66, passed away Feb. 13 at her residence. Funeral services were held Feb. 15 at McCoinsville Church of Christ with Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Duane Gossett officiating. Interment followed at Pharris Cemetery. Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 12, 1951 in Jackson County. She was a factory worker at Crotty. She was a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos Allen and Hazel Thomas; brother, James Allen; sister, Barbara Scurlock.

Surviving relatives include husband, Mackie Jones of Gainesboro; son, Brandon Jones of Gainesboro; daughter, Jennifer Scantland of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Tyler Scantland, Hope Scantland, Jordan Scantland and Braden Jones; brother, Ricky Allen of Cookeville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Myrtle Edith Brown Flatt

Myrtle Edith Brown Flatt, 98, passed away Feb. 11. Funeral services were held Feb. 14 at Hermitage Funeral Home with Bro. August Ruff officiating. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Hermitage Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Homer C. Flatt Sr.; parents, Andrew P. and Polly Mahaney Brown.

Surviving relatives include children, Homer C. (Judy) Flatt Jr., Sharon K. (Leonard) Walker, Jerry B. (Susan) Flatt and Penny K. (Louie) Eden; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
