The Highlands Fitness Challenge, a program that aims to help community members cultivate a healthy and fit lifestyle, is taking on a new look in 2018. The program encompasses the four county region of the Highlands Economic Partnership with participants from Jackson, Overton, Putnam and White counties. Each year, dozens of companies and organizations from across the region take on the challenge and see significant results in improved health and wellness.
This year’s challenge will begin April 1 and continue through June 30. The Challenge will encourage individuals to participate in community led walks, hikes and wellness seminars. The goal is to highlight the natural resources in our area that provide FREE access to living a healthy lifestyle all while making health a priority for the counties of the Highlands.
