Sheriff’s Department Warns To Watch For Counterfeit Bills

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is warning retailers and consumers that counterfeit bills are circulating in and around the county. Business owners should train their employees to examine all bills they receive that are $10 and higher.

If they believe they are given a phony bill, call the police. Small business owners need to be aware of the many ways to detect counterfeit money.
