Factory Worker

David Michael Reecer, 35, of Lavergne, passed away on June 13 at his residence. Funeral services were held on June 19 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Alan H. Judd officiating. Interment followed in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens in Hendersonville.

He was born Feb. 9, 1983 in Gallatin. He was a factory worker in the automotive industry. He loved gaming and playing guitar.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Reecer; brother, Derek Ragland and maternal grandfather, Earl Stafford.

Surviving relatives include the mother of his children, Kalish Avery of Murfreesboro; son, Jordan Reecer of Murfreesboro; daughter, Kyra Reecer of Murfreesboro; mother, Angela Sisco Bush of Lavergne; brother Brandon Reecer of Hendersonville; sister, Hailey Hendrix of Murfreesboro and other relatives and friends.

Jodie Bowman

Jodie Bowman, 64, passed away on June 15 at her residence. Funeral services were held on June 22 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Garry Anderson officiating. The family has chosen cremation.

She was born June 5, 1954 in Gainesboro. She was a retired bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom Joe Bowman and Susan Elizabeth Bowman and daughter, Elizabeth Nichole “Nicki” Beach Chinoy.

Surviving relatives include her sons, Randy Beach and Andrew Grisham both of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Kaya Brown of Interlachen, Fla. and Landon Grisham of FL and sisters, Kathy and husband, David Haynie of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Peggy Bowman of Madison, Ala. and Sandy and husband, Donnie Ragland of Gainesboro.

Arel Henry Allen, 84, of Cookeville passed away on June 17 at NHC Health Care. Funeral services were held on June 20 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Garry Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the West Cemetery in Putnam Co.

He was born on July 9, 1933 in Jackson County. He was a steel worker and lumberyard worker and a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lee Allen and Della Dickerson Allen and brothers, Gerald Allen and Bobby Allen.

Surviving relatives include his son, Joseph Lee Allen of Cookeville; daughter Barbara Pranger of Detroit, Mich.; grandchildren, Nichole and Donald and sisters, Wilma Croy of Calif., Rilda Allen Stacy of Cookeville, Janice Sheridan of Detroit Mich., Sandra Diemer of Chelsea, Mich., Judy Rozar of Fayetteville and Carolyn Nash of West Land, Mich.

Donna Faye Matthews

Donna Faye Matthews, 59, passed away on June 17 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services were held on June 20 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. The family has chosen cremation.

She was born on April 25, 1959 in Gainesboro. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cordell Matthews and Georgia Matthews; daughter, Tonya Mae Stewart and brother, Roger Lee Matthews.

Surviving relatives include her beloved companion, Wesley Rose of Whitleyville; son, Jacob Matthews of Whitleyville; James Babcock, whom she considered a son; brother, Danny Matthews of Red Boiling Springs; special niece; Rhonda Boshers; great nephews, Jakobi and Elijah Boshers; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Jane Theresa Ziemianek Chillquist Reisenauer

Jane Theresa (Ziemianek) Chillquist Reisenauer, 94 of Gainesboro, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at her home.

Jane was born Friday, May 16, 1924 in Sobieski, Wisconsin; she was the daughter of the late Frank Ziemianek.

Jane was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.  Upon her son and daughter-in-law moving to Cookeville, Jane was greatly cared for by her caregiver and best friend Juanita Dailey, whom the family is deeply thankful for.

Jane is survived by: Son: Keith and Bonnie Chillquist of Cookeville, TN.

In addition to her father, Jane was preceded in death by:  Husbands, Elmer Chillquist and George Reisenauer; Granddaughter, Amanda Chillquist and three Sisters, Mary, Helen, and Adaline.

Jane chose cremation and the family followed her wishes and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.

Crest Lawn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Henry M. “Red” Hampton

Henry M. “Red” Hampton, 88 passed away on June 20 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Pharris Cemetery.

He was born July 17, 1929 in West Frankfort, Ill. He was an electrician. He loved being the candy man. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Church of God of Anderson, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred E. Hampton and Ruby Jane Hampton; his wife, Leatrice Joy Hampton; daughter, Brenda Hampton Golden; brother, Bill Hampton; sisters, Bonnie Hampton and Imogene Hampton.

Surviving relatives include daughters, Debra and husband, William Nielson of Cary, IL and Wende Spivey of Gainesboro; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister, Rose Newman of West Frankfort, Ill. and other relatives and friends.

Meagan Suzanne Lang

Meagan Suzanne Lang, 29, of Hilham passed away on June 21 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services were held on June 25 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Steve Tiebout officiating. Interment followed in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1988 in Madison Heights, MI. She was a CNA with Avalon Hospice. She was active in the kindergarten Sunday School program at the River Community Church, she enjoyed photography and crafting. She also loved visiting Lake Superior. She loved and was loved by her family very much.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Alfred Gunnari; paternal great grandmother, Mildred Hooten; her husband’s grandfather, Walter Lang and her husband’s great grandmother, Eva Hoover.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Caleb Lang of Hilham; her father, Arnold R. and wife, Kathleen Trevathan of Hilham; her mother, Lisa Trevathan of Calumet, Mich; brother, John Trevathan of Calumet, Mich; sister, Samantha Trevathan, of Hilham; paternal grandparents, Arnold D. Trevathan and Betty Lucille Trevathan; maternal grandmother, Arlene Gunnari; nephew, Kaiden Michael Lee Kent of Hilham; father in law, Everett Lang; mother in law, Linda Lang; brothers in law, Taylor Lang, Micah Lang, Peter Lang and David Lang; sisters in law, Esther and husband, Joshua Smith, Hannah Lang and Martha Lang; husbands grandparents, John and Rosalie Hoover and Jean Lang and godson, Caleb Allen.
