Marilyn Rowe, 88, of Gainesboro, passed away on Oct. 11 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Memorial services were held on Oct. 13 at Gainesboro First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
She was born on April 12, 1930, in Chicago, Ill. She was a homemaker and volunteered heavily at Teen Challenge, helping young people. She spent the last seven years in Gainesboro and studied at the Gainesboro First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, William “Bill” Taylor and Ethel Taylor; and husband, William Eugene Rowe, Jr.
Surviving relatives include sons, Bill Rowe of Pace, Fla. and David Rowe of Lima, Ohio; daughter, Merry Lynn Shepherd of Clearwater, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
