Veterans Luncheon

This will be our 3rd annual Veterans Luncheon, to be held on Friday, Nov. 2, at 11:15 at the Granville Senior Citizens Center. Lunch is free for all JC Veterans and a small price for the public.

GES Fall Festival

Gainesboro Elementary Fall Festival will be at the school on Nov. 3rd, starting at 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. There will be a Chili Supper, Concessions, Games, Bounce Houses, Face-Painting, Animal Balloons, Silent Auction, Bake Sale and Parade. Donations for the bake sale and silent auction are gladly accepted.

Dodson Branch Monthly Fish Fry

The Dodson Branch monthly fish fry (baked or fried) will be held on Nov. 3 at the Center at 4 p.m. There will also be a cakewalk, silent auction and live music. Please come and enjoy a good meal and great fellowship. This will be the last fish fry of the year and they will resume in March 2019.

Dodson Branch Monthly Meeting

The Dodson Branch monthly meeting will be held on Nov. 8. at 6 p.m. The Center was established for you who are in the community and we need help at the fish fry and attendance at the meeting to keep the Center going. Please come and see how we are helping the Community. The thrift store will be closed December, January and February.

14th Annual Toys and Coats for Kids Drive

Cash Express is once again having the opportunity to be a blessing to someone else. They will be accepting toys, coats and non-perishable food items in many drop off locations in the area. They will be accepting these items through Dec. 15, in order to have them delivered in time for Christmas.

Gainesboro Elementary School to Host their Annual Veteran’s Day Program

Gainesboro Elementary School will be having its’ annual Veteran’s Day Program this year on Fri., Nov. 9. The program will be held in the Gainesboro Elementary School gymnasium at 1 p.m. for the truly deserving men and women who served their country and helped earn the freedom we enjoy today. We invite any veteran in the community to come to the program to be recognized, regardless of whether they have a family member attending our school. During the program, we will recognize our veterans present through many different ways. The students will be singing several songs, a video presentation, recognition of all veterans, and there will be a reception after the program with refreshments and door prizes.

2018 Muzzleloader Season for Deer Set to Open

The 2018 muzzleloader/archery season for deer opens in Tennessee on Nov. 3 and continues through Nov. 16 in all of Tennessee’s deer hunting units. Bag limit for antlered bucks is two. No more than one antlered a day.
