Historic Granville will shine in many different ways May 3 and 4 as Mayberry Plays, Cornbread and Moonshine Festivals and Sutton Ole Time Bluegrass will occur. The weekend will begin on Friday night, May 3, with the spring outdoor Mayberry Dinner Play entitled “Mayberry Darlings: Happening on the Mountain” at Sutton Homestead Pioneer Village.
A great country dinner will be served starting at 5 p.m. with a play in front of Pioneer Cabin at 6:30 p.m. The play will feature all the Mayberry characters as well as the Darlings being performed by One Way Out Bluegrass Band of Lebanon. The play is full of great humor as Briscoe Darling takes Aunt Bee to the Mountain to be his bride. The play will also be performed on Saturday night, May 4, at the same time. For reservations call 931-653-4151.
