Donnie “Rooster” Spivey

Donnie “Rooster” Spivey, 67 of Gainesboro, passed away May 16 at his residence. He had chosen cremation, with memorial services at a later date.

He was born March 10, 1952, in Gainesboro. He worked as a logger.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ralph J. Spivey and Dimple Louise Spivey.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Susie Spivey, Gainesboro; son, Ronnie (Ashley) Spivey of Gainesboro; daughters, Brittany Spivey of Gainesboro, Tish Waller of Cookeville and Tracey (Brad) Halfacre of Silver Point; brothers, Danny Lee (Shirley) Spivey and Ralphie Spivey, both of Cookeville; sisters, Peggy (Randy) McBride of Cookeville and Linda (Stanley) Brown of Gainesboro; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

David Lee Locke

David Lee Locke, 62 of Bloomington Springs, passed away May 15 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He had chosen cremation and no services are scheduled at this time.

He was born April 29, 1957, in Jackson County. He was a factory worker at Dacco.

He was preceded in death by parents, Jim T. Locke and Dorothy Locke; brothers, Jack Locke and Landon Locke; and sisters, Debbie Hensley and Sandy Spurlock.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Josh (Brooke) Locke of Granville and Steve Locke of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Colton Locke, Colby Locke, Talon Locke and Corbin Locke; brothers, Harold Locke of N.C. And Danny Locke of Gainesboro; and the mother of his children, Bonnie Locke of Gainesboro.

Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Bethel C. Ledbetter

Bethel C. Ledbetter, 65 of Gainesboro, passed away May 14 at St. Thomas West. Funeral services were held May 16 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. John Mabery officiating. Interment followed in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove Community.

He was preceded in death by parents, Bethel Cordell Ledbetter, Sr. and Nelma Reba Garrett Ledbetter; wife, Jo Ann Mabery Ledbetter; and sisters, Marie King and Judy Foston.

Surviving relatives include: son, Timothy (Mahala) Ledbetter of Byrdstown; step daughter, Sheila (Anthony) Clouse of Gainesboro; granddaughter, Abbigale Clouse; and sisters, Darlene Hall, Kathy Neal and Clarazell Hargis.

Bobby Clark

Bobby Clark, 81 of North Springs Community, passed away May 12 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held May 15 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Mason Hensley officiating. Interment followed in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community.

He was born Nov. 30, 1937, in Indianapolis, Ind. He was a farmer and a member of the North Springs Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by parents, Robert Graham Clark and Edna Mae McCue Clark.

Surviving relatives include several cousins.
