County Schools Awarded Safe Schools Grant

Jackson County Schools have been awarded $70,000 through the Tennessee Department of Education to put toward funding two additional full-time School Resource Officers.

The funding is part of Governor Bill Lee’s $40 million investment for school safety grants, which prioritizes School Resource Officers being placed in underserved areas and in schools that currently do not have full-time SROs.
