Naomi Meadows Reece
Naomi Meadows Reece, 81, of Cookeville passed away Sept. 28 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Sept. 30 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Shannon Brinkley and Bro. Jeff Burton officiating. Interment followed in the Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens in Smith County.
She was born July 4, 1938 in Jackson County. She was a nursing assistant at Jackson County Hospital and a member of the Burristown Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Lewis Meadows and Maggie Meadows; husband, John Henry Reece; sisters, Cora Bell Meadows, Jewell Dean Johnson, Grace Lane and Ann Anderson; brother, Johnny Meadows; son in law, Bill Lanier; and nephew, Kenneth Meadows.
Surviving relatives include: sons, Terry Reece of Pleasant Shade, Glen (Patsy) Reece of Defeated Creek and Stanley (Machelle) Reece of Smith’s Bend community of Jackson County; daughters, Shelia (Steve) Ross of Cookeville and Lori (Michael) Davenport of Whitleyville; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Davenport of Tullahoma, Barbara Langford of Gallatin, Judy Gillum of Hendersonville and Elaine Kinear of Mt. Juliet.
Robert J. (Bobby) Wade
Robert J. (Bobby) Wade, 74 of Bloomington Springs passed away Sept. 29 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Oct. 3 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Todd Elliott officiating. Interment followed in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community.
He was born Oct. 17, 1944. He was a retired pipeline superintendent and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army 35th Combat Engineers during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Verble F. Wade and Mildred M. Wade; wife, Linda Lucille Pippin Wade; brothers, Fred L. Wade, Michael Ray Wade and Anthony (Tony) Gene Wade; and sisters, Pauline (Polly) Martin and Sheila Wade Glover.
Surviving relatives include: son, James Verble Wade and wife, Sabrina of Bloomington Springs; daughter, Paula Denise Byers and husband, Keith of Cookeville; grandchildren, Hailey Byers, Tanner Wade, Allison Byers, Payton Wade, Gatlen Wade, Wyatt Byers, Mason Wade and Emily Wade; great grandchild, Weston Byers; expected great granddaughter, Ariel Kate Wade; sisters, Frances Wade Poston of Baxter and Linda Sue Wade Bellamy of Nashville; brothers in law, William Glover of Lebanon, Dewey and Nancy Pippin and Roy Pippin; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Kenney R. Garrison
Kenney R. Garrison, 56, of Gainesboro passed away Sept. 29 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Oct. 2 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community.
He was born April 16, 1963 in Jackson County. He worked as a tree trimmer.
He was preceded in death by: father, Charlie Garrison; son, Bryan Garrison; daughter, Ashley Garrison; and sisters, Donnetta Garrison, Reda Garrison, Sandra Garrison and Kathy Garrison.
Surviving relatives include: daughter, Alora “Alexis” Garrison of Celina; grandchildren, Greyson Divens, Addilyn Garrison and Myla Divens; mother, Willee Garrison of Nashville; two nieces; two nephews; and other relatives and friends.
