Reba C. Mayberry

Reba C. Mayberry, 79, of Cookeville passed away Oct. 25 at her residence. Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove community.

She was born Dec. 27, 1939, in Putnam County. She was a factory worker at General Motors and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Robert McBroom and Anne McBroom; husband, Billie Paul Mayberry; and 12 siblings.

Surviving relatives include: son, Billie Paul (Liz) Mayberry, Jr of Livonia, Mich; daughters, Wanda Acierno of Cookeville and Marcia Mayberry of Columbia; grandchildren, Julie Acierno, Billie Paul Mayberry III, Jesse Reno and Natalie Mayberry; great grandchild, Hayley Whitlatch; and sister, Joeann Wilson of Cookeville.

Doris Estelene Hix

Doris Estelene Hix, 84, of Gainesboro passed away Oct. 27 at Mabry Health Care. Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. James Bybee officiating. Interment followed in the John L. Clark Cemetery in the Stone community.

She was born Aug. 27, 1935 in Jackson County. She was a day care worker and a member of the Hurricane Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, James Eston Harris and Hettie Mae Harris; husband, Elmer Lee Hix; and brothers, Shirley Harris and Mack Harris.

Surviving relatives include: son, Gerald (Dessa) Hix of Cookeville; daughters, Debbie Dixon and Shelia Pharris, both of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Brandy (Shane) Nixon, Allison (Steve) Martenson, Alana Dixon, Corey Pharris, Anita Dixon, Elijah Hix and Camille Hix; great grandchildren, Abby Nixon and Carter Pharris, sister in law, Freda Harris of Bloomington Springs; and several nephews, other relatives and friends.

Linda Faye Brown

Linda Faye Brown, 73, of Gainesboro passed away Oct. 31 at Signature Health Care Center. Funeral services were held Nov. 2 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the John L. Clark Cemetery in the Stone community.

She was born May 29, 1946 in Jackson County. She was a factory worker, head start worker and attended the Burristown Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Fred Long and Edna Long; husband, Joe Clyde Brown; and daughter Sandra Faye Brown.

Surviving relatives include: son, Anthony (Kristi) Brown of Gainesboro; grandson, Dylan (Cameron) Brown of Gainesboro; granddaughter, Chelsea Brown of Gainesboro; brother, Ronnie (Gail) Long of Gainesboro; and sisters, Helen Johnson of Madison and Rosie (Ronald) Cherry of San Antonio, Texas.
