Linda Perrin

Linda Perrin, 79, of Gainesboro passed away Dec. 13 at Mabry Health Care Center. Graveside services were held Dec. 14 at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community. Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiated at the services.

She was born Sept. 16, 1940 in Jackson County. She was a garment factory worker.

She was preceded in death by parents, Stanton Hall and Ruby Hall; son, Rodney Perrin; brother, Gene Hall; and sister, Georgia Jackson.

Surviving relatives include husband, Jackie Perrin of Gainesboro; son, Richard (Joy) Perrin of Cookeville; daughter, Cherie Lynn Craighead of Cookeville; five granchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

James R. Emerton

James R. Emerton, 75, of Gainesboro passed away Dec. 12 at his residence. Funeral services were held Dec. 15 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Heady and Bro. Mike Fox officiating. Interment followed in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community.

He was born May 16, 1944 in Jackson County. He was a retired TDOT supervisor and a member of the Flynns Creek Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by parents, Gurstle Emerton and Zelma Emerton; brother Roger Emerton; and sister, Ruth Smith

Surviving relatives include wife, Marsha Meadows Emerton of Gainesboro; sons, Tim (Susan) Emerton of Whitleyville and Jason (Kelly) Emerton of Gainesboro; daughters, Kim (Mike) Lyon of Litchfield Park, AZ., Jessica Emerton of Gainesboro and Ruby Randolph of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Zach (Kayla) Emerton of Lafayette and Peyton Emerton of Gainesboro; great grandchild, Jaxon Emerton; brother, John Emerton of Cookeville; sisters, Sally Stafford and Elizabeth Long, both of Smyrna; and sister-in-law, Pam (Danny) Hammons of Celina.

Sam Ray Cassetty

Sam Ray Cassetty, 81, of Gainesboro passed away Dec. 10 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He had chosen cremation, with no services planned at this time.

He was born, Aug. 21, 1938 in Jackson County. He worked as an insurance adjuster and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

He was preceded in death by parents, Johnnie E. Cassetty and Claudine Meadows Cassetty; and brothers, Robert W. Cassetty and William Bruce Cassetty.

Surviving relatives include brothers, David (Judy) Cassetty and George (Patsy) Cassetty, both of Gainesboro and Charles (Jane) Cassetty of Crossville; sister, Sarah Willis of Gainesboro and Connie (Bob) Gerregano of Nashville; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lester West

Lester West, 70, of Bloomington Springs passed away Dec. 11 at his residence. Graveside services were held Dec. 12 at the Union Hill-Flatt Cemetery on Sherpardsville Hwy. Officiating at the services was Stan Gantt.

He was born July 1, 1949 in Jackson County. He was a factory worker and a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by parents, William Willis West and Lucy Elise Clegg; and an infant sibling.

Surviving relatives include wife, Ann West of Bloomington Springs; sons, William Edward West of Bloomington Springs and Bradley Steven (Amy) West of Cookeville; grandchildren, Hannah West, Haley West and Hayden West; brothers, Bill (Beverly) West of Cookeville, Mitchell (Amy) West of Gainesboro and Danny Joe West of Baxter; sister, Lisa Hanus of Baxter; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary Frances Roberts Pigg

Mary Frances Roberts Pigg, 69, of Whitleyville passed away Nov. 28 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Dec. 13 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Pigg Family Cemetery in the Fairview community.

She was born March 11, 1950 in Clay County. She worked as a mower and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by mother, Reba Roberts Allen; and husband, Jimmy Dale Pigg.

Surviving relatives include: sons, David Pryor and Daniel Pryor; daughters, Marie Cancilla, Peggy Pryor and Lisa Pryor; brother, Earl Roberts of Nashville; nieces, Jennifer Roberts and Marilyn Louise Roberts; and nephew, Shawn Roberts.
