John Boone Hestand
Born October 30, 1932 in Jackson County Tennessee. Died March 2, 2020 at Soddy Daisy Health Center in Soddy Daisy Tennessee.
Son of the late Ernest Clyde Hestand and Mabel Cummins Fox.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Fox Hestand.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann Cassetty Hestand and two sons, John Brent Hestand and James Bradley Hestand, all of Chattanooga; sister-in-law Annette Hestand of Waverly, TN; nephew Walter Clyde Hestand of Waverly, TN; niece Kennerly Hestand Field of Milan.
John lived in Chattanooga for most of his adult life and worked in industrial sales. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of Clear Creek Church of Christ in Hixson.
No funeral service will be held because of the coronavirus pandemic. A graveside service will be scheduled for later.

Horace Jones, 92, of Gainesboro, passed away March 14 at NHC Healthcare. Funeral services were held March 15 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Edward L. Anderson and Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community.
He was born April 17, 1927 in Jackson County. He worked in construction and was a member of the Morrison Creek Church of Christ. He was a Tannehill Lodge mason and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents, James Franklin Jones and Rosie Carter Jones; wife, Christine Jones; 11 sisters; five brothers; and six half siblings.
Surviving relatives include son, David (Pamela) Jones of Harrison; daughter, Peggy (Brian) Denton of Carthage; grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Denton, both of Carthage; and several nieces, nephews and other friends.
