On April 4, Central Fire Department stations One and Six responded to a single-vehicle fire on South Grundy Quarles Highway near Herbert Johnson Circle. Occupants safely exited the vehicle uninjured and crews were able to make a quick knock down of the blaze. Responding stations were Central Fire Dept. Stations One and Six, along with the sheriff’s department.
