Board Meeting

Feb. 10, 2020

The Jackson County Board of Education met in a special called session on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at 6 p.m. at the Central Office. The purpose of the meeting was to reconsider roofing bids from the January meeting after consulting with the board attorney. Members present were Mark Brown, Amanda Taylor, Michelle Hix, James Robert Childress, Mark Allen and Marty Woolbright. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mark Brown.

A motion made by Marty Woolbright, seconded by Mark Allen, to reconsider the bids for Jackson County Schools Roofing Project #1. Motion passed with all ayes.

After carefully reviewing the bids for Project #1, a motion was made by Mark Allen, seconded by James Childress, to award the bid to Sparks Roofing at the cost of $344,800.00. Motion passed with all ayes.
