Linda Hawkins, 58, of Gainesboro, passed away May 13 at her residence. Funeral services were held May 15 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community.
She was born Feb. 10, 1962 in Gainesboro. She worked as an RN and was a member of the Burristown Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by: mother, Kathryn Leota Anderson; husband, Bruce Hawkins; brother, Billy Anderson; and sisters, Brenda Anderson Heady and Kathy Joann Anderson.
Surviving relatives include: daughters, Nicki (JB) Stone of Whitleyville and Shalane Ragsdale of Gainesboro; son, Cameron Hawkins of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Madison Stone, Makynli Stone, Marissa Stone and Kenne Belle Ragsdale; one expected grandchild; father, Joe Winel Anderson of Gainesboro; brother, Wayne (Pam) Anderson of Gainesboro; sister in law, Kim Scantland; other relatives and friends.
Charles Suil Mitchell
Charles Suil Mitchell, 87, of Bloomington Springs, passed away May 13 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held May 17 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. John Mabery officiating. Interment followed in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove Community.
He was born Nov. 19, 1932 in Gainesboro. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Harline Mitchell and Avie Angeline Mitchell; brother, Bobby Mitchell; and sisters, Helen Miller, Katherine Stewart, Hattie Carlile and Judy Mitchell.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Edith Opal Mitchell of Bloomington Springs; sons, Tim Mitchell of Rickman and Mike Mitchell of Cookeville; grandchildren, Amanda Mitchell Burton, Koby Mitchell and Lisa Bailey; four great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Mitchell of Bloomington Springs; sisters, Toyetta Hensley of Bloomington Springs and Sally Foster of Smyrna; other relatives and friends.
