In the past two weeks since Governor Lee has ended the Safer at Home order, Tennessee mounted a significant effort to open our state. We have seen steady progress as restaurants, hair salons and retail stores have begun to open while others are taking a little while longer to reopen.
Jackson County has had steady testing during this time, at which time we have tested over 550 individuals locally. We appreciate all those who helped with the marketing campaign to keep our number of tests going up. We now have 10 positive cases with seven recoveries, which gives us a net of three active patients. Our citizens are doing a good job of practicing social distancing and that must continue to be the case in the future if we are going to be able to stay open.
