In early March a residence in the Big Branch area of Jackson County began seeing thefts and burglaries on the property due to being unoccupied. The executor of the property reported the activity to the Sheriff’s Office. Game cams were installed on the property with the assistance of people in the neighborhood.
During the middle of May Game cam photographs were turned over to Captain Dennis Thrasher with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. During the course of the investigation, Captain Thrasher shared the photo’s within a regional intelligence group in which Jackson County participates. Captain Thrasher began getting calls almost immediately from Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol Criminal Investigations Cookeville Office.
