Terry Key

Terry Key, 69, of Gainesboro, passed away June 16 at his residence. The family has chosen cremation and no services are scheduled at this time.

He was born Nov. 14, 1950 in Detroit, Mich. He was a construction worker by trade.

He was preceded in death by: mother, Maggie Lee Brummitt Key; and son, Christopher Alan Key.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Dece Key of Gainesboro; sons, Timothy Scott Key of Gainesboro and John Edward Key of Fla.; father, Kenneth Key of Gallatin; brothers, Richard Alan Key and Jeffery Lee, both of Gallatin; sister, Crystal Dawn Key of Gallatin; and grandchild, Alexander Key of Pa.

Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jonathan Ezra Hill

Jonathan Ezra Hill, 37, of Gainesboro, passed away June 20 in High Point, N.C. Memorial services will be held July 2 at the Lakeview Church of Christ in Gainesboro with Bro. Don Bryant and Bro. Jordan Bryant officiating. The family has chosen cremation.

He was born July 3 in Nashville. He was a carpenter and was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, Joyce Quackenbush and Loye Hill; and maternal grandparents, O.B. and Maggie Boles.

Surviving relatives include: parents, Delonnie Hill and Betty Hill of Gainesboro; daughters, Olivia Hill and Natalie Hill, both of Gainesboro; uncles, C.B. Boles of Celina, Danny Hill of Allons and Dale Hill of Ark.; and a host of cousins, relatives and many friends.

Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Jackie Wayne Young

Jackie Wayne Young, 65, of Livingston, passed away June 21 at his residence. The family has chosen cremation with no services at this time.

He was born Nov. 4, 1954 in Jackson County. He was a licensed Tennessee Funeral Director, having worked with numerous funeral homes in the Upper Cumberland area.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Jack and Bonnie Bowman Young.

Surviving relatives include several cousins, other relatives and friends.

Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lucille Lawson

Lucille Lawson, 93, of Gainesboro, passed away June 21 at Mabry Health Care Center. Funeral services were held June 23 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community.

She was born Feb. 16, 1927 in Jackson County. She was a nurse’s aide and home health aide and a member of the Stone Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Will P. Meadows and Mary Jane Jones Meadows; husband, Charlie O. Lawson; son, Marshall Baugh Lawson; and step children, Betty, Billy, Bobby and Barbara.

Surviving relatives include: daughters, Lyda Wright of Gainesboro, Linda Young of Gainesboro and Katherine (Crickett) Loftis of Cookeville; grandchildren, Theresa Maynard of Cookeville, Denise Bates of Cookeville, Keith Young of Cookeville, Kelly Young of Michigan and David Coffee of Gainesboro; six great-grandchildren; special nieces, Sue Carmack, Betty Herold and Thelma Cripps; and special nephew, Mack Hopper.

Joe Winel Anderson

Joe Winel Andersonm, 84, of the Burristown community, passed away June 22 at his residence. Funeral services were held June 25 at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community.

He was born Sept. 17, 1935 in Jackson County. He worked as a machine operator at Aeroquip Corp. and was a member of the Burristown Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Marshall Anderson and Gertie Boles Anderson; wife, Kathryn Buck Anderson; daughters, Jo Ann Anderson, Brenda Heady and Linda Hawkins; son, Billy Anderson; brothers, Lindel, Ernest, James and Odell; and sisters, Estell, Ina, Izell and Idell.

Surviving relatives include: son, Wayne (Pam) Anderson of Gainesboro; brothers, Olen Anderson and Paul Anderson, both of Gainesboro; sisters, Wanda Anderson and Jearldean (Marson) Scott, all of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Holly (Darcy) Anderson, Shaun (Ashley Nicole) Anderson, Shannon (Ashley) Anderson, Nicki (JB) Stone, Shalane Ragsdale, Cameron Hawkins and Kendall Scantland; great- grandchildren, Madison, Makynli, Marissa, Rylee, Brodee, Preslee, Bentlie, Easton, Kenne Belle and baby Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Kim Scantland of Gainesboro; and sisters- in-law, Shelby and Mary Anderson.
