Eddie Wayne


Eddie Wayne Lawson, 56, formerly of Gainesboro, Nashville and Mt. Juliet, passed away Jan. 26 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. At his request no funeral service will be held.

He had sharp wit, salty vocabulary and loved football, music and comic books. He graduated from Mt. Juliet High School and the Art Institute of Atlanta, where he developed his talent as an artist and illustrator.

Surviving relatives include: son, Zach Lawson; daughter, Samantha Lewis; mother, Patricia Ramsey; brother, Darrell Wyatt; sister, Jennifer Wyatt; and nieces and nephews.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Beverly Hall

Beverly Hall, 63, of Cookeville, passed away Feb. 2 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family has chosen cremation with memorial services at a later time. Interment will be in the Lynn Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 25, 1957 in Detroit, Mich. She was a retired homemaker.

She was preceded in death by: father, Elbert Delworth; and husband, Jerry Junior Hall.

Surviving relatives include: son, Chris (Rachelle) Hall of Cookeville; brother, Elbert Delworth of Eastpointe, Mich.; sisters, Marie Edman and Brenda Wierzbicki, both of Roseville, Mich.; mother, Daphine Delworth of Eastpointe, Mich.; and grandchildren, Trae Watson, Landon Hall and Maximus Hall.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Nemore

Virginia Nemore, 91, of Baxter, passed away Feb. 3, at her residence. Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 19, 1929 in Jackson County. She was a homemaker, a seamstress, great cook and host to many. She was a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, William Fowler Goolsby and Cynthia Ann Buck Goolsby; brothers, Lloyd, Leeman Elvis, James Herman and Omer D. Goolsby; and sister, Marie Stewart.

Surviving relatives include: husband, Ed Nemore, Sr. of Baxter; son; Ed Nemore, Jr. of Baxter; daughter, Diane Allen of Baxter; brothers; Buddy Goolsby of Gainesboro, and Aaron Goolsby of Sparta; sisters, Sue Bilbrey of Woodbridge, Va., Jean Long of Gainesboro and Ida Mai Carter of Whitleyville; grandsons, Corey Nemore, Aldon and Brandon Allen; great grandson, Conner Lewis Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dorothy May

Brown Law

Dorothy May Brown Law was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Jackson County, Tenn., and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021. She was very much loved by Dorothy Marie Dunnagan and Janet Gail Deaton. She was the daughter of Thomas Henry Brown and Minnie Lula Richardson Brown. A private graveside service will be held.
