Lady Blue Devils Swat The Yellow Jackets

The Lady Blue Devils played host to the Lady Yellow Jackets in the first round of the TSSAA Girl’s District 6A Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The Lady Blue Devils came out on fire ready to go toe-to-toe with the Lady Yellow Jackets. The Lady Yellow Jackets outscored the Lady Blue Devils 11-10.

In the second quarter the Lady Blue Devils would figure out a defensive plan that worked and would outscored the Lady Yellow Jackets 11-6, being led by Jacklyn Agee with six points.

The score at halftime was 21-17 Lady Blue Devils.

The Lady Blue Devils came out of halftime ready to put the Lady Yellow Jackets away.

In the third quarter the Lady Blue Devils played great on both sides of the ball, outscoring the Lady Yellow Jackets 20-10, being led by Riley Thomas with six points. At the end of the third quarter the score was 41-27.

In the fourth quarter the Lady Yellow Jackets tried to mount a comeback, but the Lady Blue Devils kept the pedal to the metal and held them off.

The Lady Blue Devils beat the Lady Yellow Jackets 60-44. Leading in score for the Lady Blue Devils was Ericka Davidson with 15 points.
