Ann Keen

Ann Keen, 84, of Gainesboro, passed away June 8 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. Funeral services were held June 12 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Notgrass officiating. Interment followed in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville Community.

She was born July 23, 1936 in Gainesboro. She was retired from Nielsen and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Martin Loftis and Zella Smith Loftis; son, Mark Keen; and brother and sisters, Paul, Betty Sue, Juanita and Jean.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Brian (Mickey) Keen of Mt. Juliet, Kevin (Corrine) Keen of Middletown, Md. and Steven (Angela) Keen of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Ruth Loftis Shelton of Cookeville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

David Shepherd

David Shepherd, 73, of the Fairview Community, passed away June 8 at his residence. Funeral services were held June 11 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Fox officiating. Interment followed in the Scott Red Hill Cemetery in Jackson County.

He was born Oct. 21, 1947 in Jackson County. He was a mechanic and carpenter and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Dewey Shepherd and Anna Mae Brown Shepherd; wife, Anna Sue Carmack Shepherd; brother, Wayne Shepherd; and sisters, Magleen Phann, Kathryn Dailey, Beverly Shepherd and Doris Smith.

Surviving relatives include: son, Roy (Alyshia Hamilton) Shepherd of Gainesboro; daughter, Tammy J. (Dustin Price) Shepherd of Gainesboro; sister, Donna Lee Goodman of Baxter; children that he raised; Timmy Scantland and Tammy Goodman; grandchildren, Maryann Martin, Dewey Wayne Shepherd, Macayla Jordan, Amber Jordan, Alana Jordan and Izaya Maynard and great-grandchild, Aiden Martin.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Earl Crabtree

Earl Crabtree, 86, of the Center Grove Community, passed away June 7 at his residence. Funeral services were held June 10 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Mabery officiating. Interment followed in the Union Hill-Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Road.

He was born July 10, 1934 in Jackson County. He was a machinist and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Willis Domer Crabtree and Louevie Hammock Crabtree; and son, Kenneth Earl Crabtree.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Nellie Crabtree of Bloomington Springs; son, Robert (Donna) Crabtree of Cookeville; daughter, Vicky Pigg of Cookeville; brother, Harlin Crabtree of Elkton, Md.; sister, Louise Haney of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Heather (Jonathan) Conner of Cookeville, Amanda Pigg of Gainesboro, Josh (Ashley) Crabtree of Whitleyville and Elizabeth (Chris) Mabery of Gainesboro; great-grandchildren, Bryce Conner, Jackson Conner, Ella Conner, Isabella Mabery, Allie Mabery, Tucker Crabtree, Gunner Crabtree, Danner Crabtree, Rhyder Crabtree and Kaven Pigg and pet dog, Sassy.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
