Pat J. Forkum

Pat J. Forkum, 78, of Gainesboro, passed away Oct. 27 at her residence. Memorial services will be held Nov. 10 at the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Dunavant officiating. Her wishes were to be cremated.

She was born April 6, 1943 in Detroit, Mich. She was an administrative assistant for University of Tennessee Extension Service and also a State Farm Insurance Agent. She was a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Jonah and Edna Jackson Roberts; brother, Bobby Roberts; sister in law, Betty Roberts.

Surviving relatives include: daughters, Patty (Lee) Kuykendall of Jemison, Ala. and Leslie Clark of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Cynthia (Casey) Head, Ricky (Rebecka) Head, Lucas (Angel) Kuykendall and Erica Kuykendall; great grandchildren, Braxston Bean, Leon Kuykendall, Kyler Head and Jaxson Head; and other relatives and many friends.

Donnie Joel Gentry

Donnie Joel Gentry, 46, of Cookeville, passed away Oct. 26 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Oct. 29 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Stafford officiating. Interment followed in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.

He was born May 27, 1975 in Jackson County. He was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Donald Earl Gentry and Myrtie Odesia Pryor Gentry; half brother, Jim Gentry; and half sister, Joy Wilson.

Surviving relatives include: son, Dillon Joel Gentry of Cookeville; daughters, Haley Shea-Lynn Gentry of Cookeville and Kaylee Michelle Brooke Gentry of Sparta; sisters, Angie Crow of Cookeville and Tammy Pennington of Gainesboro; and an unborn grandchild.

Buddy L. Reynolds

Buddy L. Reynolds, 83, of Cookeville, passed away Oct. 25 at Bethesda Health Care Center. The family has chosen cremation, with private services at a later date.

He was born Jan. 26, 1938 in Jackson County. He was a DVM and the owner and operator of the Animal Medical Clinic in Cookeville. He was a member of the Cookeville First United Methodist Church and a long time member of the Cookeville Rotary Club. He served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Raymond Vestal Reynolds and Myrtle Spicer Reynolds; brother, Sonny Reynolds; and sisters, Patsy Yates and Sue Reynolds.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Mary Reynolds of Cookeville; sons, Dr. James (Eileen) Reynolds of St. Joseph, Mo. and Dr. Patrick (Suneetha) Shawn Reynolds of Lewisville, NC; daughter, Amanda Susan Reynolds of Cookeville; grandchildren, Bradley (Ashley) Scott Reynolds, DVM of St. Joseph, Mo., Ryan Mikhail Reynolds of Lewisville, N.C. and Alexandra Elizabeth Holt of Cookeville; and great grandchild, Olympia Reynolds.

Joy Lynn Barlow Fiolek

Joy Lynn Barlow Fiolek, 54, of Gainesboro, passed away Oct. 25 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Oct. 27 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Barlow officiating. Interment followed in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community.

She was born Nov. 30, 1966 in Jackson County. She worked for TDOT.

She was preceded in death by: father, Shirley Odell Barlow; paternal grandparents, Rob and Rose Barlow; maternal grandparents, Claude and Rosie Wilson; and nephew, Kyle Odell Sisco.

Surviving relatives include: husband, William M. Fiolek of Gainesboro; sons, Caustyn Fiolek and Dakota Fiolek, both of Gainesboro; mother, Barbara Barlow of Gainesboro; brothers, Jimmy (Debbie) Barlow of Hilham and Joe Barlow of Gainesboro; sister, Joan (Bill) Sisco of Gainesboro; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ruby Rose Carter

Ruby Rose Carter, 98, of the Keeling Branch community, passed away Oct. 24, NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. Graveside services were held Oct. 26 at the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community with Bro. Tom Bilbrey officiating.

She was born July 25, 1923 in Jackson County. She was a seamstress and a member of the Whitleyville Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Amos Spurlock and Sally Yates Spurlock; husband, Albert Carter; son, James David Carter; and grandchild, Shannon Wayne Carter.

Surviving relatives include: son, Tim (Sherry) Carter of Whitleyville; daughter in law, Ida Mae Carter of Whitleyville; sister, Vivian Lankford of Nashville; grandchildren, Tammy (John) Gabbard, Jimmy Carter and Kecia (Eric) Bartholomew; and great grandchildren, Lily and Luke Bartholomew.
