Michael Paul Rainey

Michael Paul Rainey, 51, of Bloomington Springs, passed away Dec. 28 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Memorial services will be held Jan. 29 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Heady officiating.

He was born May 10, 1970 in Rockledge, FL. He was employed by HVAC as a Service Tech for over 25 years. He was a Church of Christ member.

He was preceded in death by: father, Larry Wilburn Rainey; maternal grandparents, James and Dean Martin; paternal grandparents, Wilburn and Hazel Rainey; and father in law, Mark Carlisle.

Surviving relatives include: spouse, Melanie Rainey of Bloomington Springs; son, Paul Rainey of Brandon, FL; daughters, Marissa Rainey and Mallorie Rainey both of Bloomington Springs; mother, Paulette Rainey of Gainesboro; mother in law, Marie Carlisle of Red Boiling Springs; sisters, Michele Harley of Zephyrhills, FL and Nicole Aldape of Brandon, FL; and other survivors aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Michael Ray Brown

Michael Ray Brown, 61, of Old Hickory, passed Dec. 29 at his brother’s residence in Putnam County. Funeral services were held Jan. 1 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Dylan Woods and Wayne Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove Community.

He was born Oct. 27, 1960 in Davidson County. He was employed by Lebanon Distributors. He was a member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: mother, Beverly Sue Pickle Henry.

Surviving relatives include: father, Billy Henry of Mt. Juliet; brothers, David (Gail) Brown of Cookeville, James “Bo” (Valerie) Henry and Don (Lisa) Henry, both of Mt. Juliet; sisters, Lisa (Ralph) Brown of Smithville and Kathy Kirby of Clarksville; and many nieces and nephews.

Bernest Lee Davidson

Bernest Lee Davidson, 42, of Gainesboro, passed away Jan. 1 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held Jan. 17 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Judd officiating. The family honored his wish to be cremated.

He was born July 12, 1979 in Dearborn, MI. He was a project manager for a cleaning company.

He was preceded in death by: father, Thomas Eugene Davidson.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Savanna Shea Mayberry Davidson of Gainesboro; daughters, Shyla Davidson of Gainesboro, Alisyn Davidson of Gainesboro, Karleigh Davidson of Gainesboro and Aleeah Davidson of Gainesboro; sisters, Lisa (Nathan) Green of Moss and Rebecca (Kevin) Swallows of Gainesboro; mother, Evelyn Irene Waldrop Davidson of Gainesboro; uncle, Wesley Waldrop of Gainesboro; and nephew, Jeremiah Davidson.

Lynda Brown

Lynda Brown, 73, of Gainesboro, passed away Jan. 1 at her daughter’s residence. Funeral services were held Jan. 5 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery.

She was born July 29, 1948 in Jackson County. She was a registered dental assistant and enjoyed painting, reading and blackberry cobbler.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Ed Tom Young and Stella Mai Young; brothers, U.L. Young, Bill Young, Alvin Clay Young and Roger Young; and sister, Frances Wright.

Surviving relatives include: husband, Taylor Brown of Gainesboro; son, Bob Brown of Panama City, FL; daughters, Cherri (Mike) Darrow of Silver Point and Misty (Ian) Stewart of Cookeville; grandchildren, Lindsey Darrow, Ashton Darrow, Jasmine Brown, Nathan Brown and Griffin Stewart; brothers, Eddie Young and Danny Young; and sisters, Alta Mai Miller, Wanda Young, June Young and Mary Richards.

Angela Gale Thompson

Angela Gale Thompson, 62, of Cookeville, passed away Jan. 2 at her residence. Funeral services were held Jan. 4 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Lakelan Barham officiating. Interment followed in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community.

She was born July 3, 1959 in Gainesboro. She was a retail store clerk.

She was preceded in death by: father, Cecil Allen, Jr.; husband, Gary Thompson; and brother, Gary Dale Allen.

Surviving relatives include: mother, Christine Allen; brothers, Mike (Debbie) Allen and Steve Allen; nephews, Matt (Caitlyn) Allen, Jessie (Tiea) Allen, Brian Hamby and Bo Hamby; niece, Casey Allen; and great nieces and nephews, Haylee, Eli, Jake, Rhett and Millie Rae.

Kathy Diane Stafford

Kathy Diane Stafford, 70, of Gainesboro, passed away Jan. 3 at Summit Medical Center in Nashville. Graveside were held Jan. 6 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Bro. James Bybee officiating.

She was born Aug. 30, 1951 in Gainesboro. She worked as a custodian.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Charles Fred Smith and Mary Mae Smith.

Surviving relatives include: son, Brandon Stafford and wife, Jodi; and daughter, Dana Stafford and fiance, Justin Ward.

Janet Elinor Kriebel

Janet Elinor Kriebel, 92, of Granville, passed away Jan. 5 at her residence. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time.

She was born Sept. 28, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a farmer.

She was preceded in death by: parents, William Wegmann and Elinor Wegmann; and husband, Frank Kelly Kriebel.

Surviving relatives include: son, Mark (Shelia) Kriebel of Granville; daughters, Terri Kriebel of West Palm Beach, FL and Nancy Kriebel of Granville; grandchildren, Joshua Silvestri of FL, Rayn (Richard) Galloway of Granville, Jobe (Brandi) Kriebel of Baxter and Jason Kibby of Lafayette, GA; and great grandson: Jeremiah Galloway of Granville.
