Kenneth “Kenny” Haney

Kenneth “Kenny” Haney, 60, of Gainesboro, passed away Jan. 20 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 23 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Fox officiating. The family has chosen cremation.

He was born Aug. 20, 1961 in Gainesboro.

He was preceded in death by: parents, K B Haney and Nell Fowler Smallwood Haney.

Surviving relatives include; sisters, Carol Wilson of Gainesboro, Connie (Ronnie) Garrett of Liberty, and Christina (Ricky) Bailiff of Liberty; brother: Jerry (Lisa) Haney of Gainesboro; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Jack Stafford

Jack Stafford, 82, of Gainesboro, passed away Jan. 16 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 19 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Pharris Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 30, 1939 in Gainesboro. He was a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Sam Stafford and Hallie Biggs Stafford; and wife, Dora V. Stafford.

Surviving relatives include: daughter, Deborah Henley of Cookeville; sons, Jackie Stafford and Joseph Stafford, both of Gainesboro; brother, Paul Stafford of Gainesboro; sister, Janie Uhles of Gainesboro; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Elsie Webb Flatt

Elsie Webb Flatt, 85, of Columbia, passed away Jan. 15. Funeral services were held Jan. 18 in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Norton and Bro. Lawrence Jackson officiating.

She was born April 14, 1937. She retired at the age of 82 and was affiliated with the Free Will Baptist Denomination.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Pem Webb and JoAnn Martin; husband, Kenneth Flatt; daughter, Regina Netherton; sister, Lib Justice; and brothers, Bill Jack and George Martin.

Surviving relatives include: daughters, Sue Salisbury Petty (Larry) of Columbia, Brenda Flatt of MI and Pam Laramie of Columbia; sons, Rick Flatt of Howell, MI and Al (Maria) Flatt of MI; grandchildren, Melissa (Dan) Salisbury Letto, Julie (Mark) Salisbury Lucas, Luke Flatt, Amanda Cates, Kayla Laramie (Craig), Blake Laramie, Lindsey (David) Dyl, Tracie Gajewski and Rick Flatt; great grandchildren, Austin Hix, Alissa Salisbury, Kayne and Kayle Lucas, Sarah Elizabeth James, Robert Cates, Hannah Grider and Thomas Shelton; great, great grandchildren, Mason McKinney, Maverick Wolfe; sisters, Donna Sue Robinson and Helen Adams; brother, Steve Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
