Evalene Heady
Evalene Heady, 72, of Cookeville, passed away March 2 at her residence. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time.
She was born Dec. 24, 1949 in Clay County. She was a housewife and mother.
She was preceded in death by: parents, George Crabtree and Delpha Marie Boles; brother, Ray Crabtree and sister, Catherine Copeland.
Surviving relatives include: sons, Harland, Kenneth and Alan Heady; grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Brittany and Seairra Heady and Zachary Heady; and great grandchild, Hunter Raines.

Walter Davis
Walter Davis, 82, of Gainesboro, passed away March 16 at his residence. Funeral services were held March 20 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Notgrass officiating. Interment followed in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 21, 1939 in Jackson County. He was a retired farmer, former employee at AVCO, a business owner and former EMT with the Jackson County Ambulance Service. He was a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Nicholas and Bessie Long Davis; brothers, Clyde Davis, Robert Davis, William Stanton Davis and Ottis Davis; and son in laws, Lanny Kirby and Larmon Loftis.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Fran Davis of Gainesboro; son, Kenny Davis of Gainesboro; daughters, Kay Kirby, Sharon Davis, Chasity (Tony) Hix, all of Gainesboro; sister, Jewel Spivey of Whitleyville; grandchildren, Dustin (Valerie) Loftis, Heath (Krista) Kirby, Torrey Kirby, Ethan (Olivia) Kirby, Blaise (Abbye) Barlow and Kinsey (Nicholas) Lemmons; great grandchildren, Ayden Loftis, Carolina Barlow, Lena Barlow, Jude Barlow, Amara Kirby, Elle Kirby and Baby Kirby that is due in April; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were the card players at the feed store.

Jo Ellen Maberry
Jo Ellen Maberry, 49, of the Dodson Branch community, passed away March 15 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held March 19 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Dunn officiating. Interment followed in the West Cemetery in Cookeville.
She was born Sept. 7, 1972 in Cookeville. She was a restaurant worker.
She was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Wiley and Anna Lee Brewington; and paternal grandparents, Lannie and Hassie Maberry.
Surviving relatives include: parents, Randy and Ellen Maberry of Cookeville; sister, Carrie Lea Gentry of Cookeville; niece, Hannah Gentry of Cookeville; twin nephews, Noah and Caleb Gentry of Cookeville; and aunts, uncles, many cousins and other family and friends.

Rose Mary Knight
Rose Mary Knight, 82, of the Dodson Branch community, passed away March 12 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held March 16 at Dodson Branch Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Dunn officiating. Interment followed in the Dodson Branch Cemetery.
She was born March 9, 1940. She was a member of the Dodson Branch Freewill Baptist Church, a retired factory worker, and a housewife who loved to crochet.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Luther and Dorothy Wiley Phillips; husband, Bill Knight; sisters, Virgie Loftis and Wanda Morgan; and a infant brother.
Surviving relatives include: daughter, Henrietta (Leroy) Key of Dodson Branch; sons, Kenny (Kim) Knight and Mitchell (Sherri) Knight, both of Dodson Branch and Dewayne (Anne) Knight of Cookeville; sister, Paulene (Paul) Diaz; grandchildren, Jessica Shelton, Brittany Flatt, Matthew Knight, Blake Thomas, Ashleigh Thomas, Matthew Randolph and Courtney Knight; and great grandchildren, Briley, Brayden, Bryson, Aadan and Mariska.

Shawn Lisa Morgan, 59, of Gainesboro, passed away March 11 at her residence. Funeral services were held at the family home. Graveside services and interment to follow at Morgan’s Memorial Garden.
She was born June 29, 1962 in Munich, Germany.
She was preceded in death by: father, Charles Eugene Kimmig, Sr.

Jimmy R. Dickens, 81, of Gainesboro, passed away March 8at Mabry Healthcare Center. He has chosen cremation and no services are scheduled at this time.
He was born May 19, 1940 in Old Hickory. He retired from Peterbilt Motor Company.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Charles Dickens and Ethelene Dickens Smith.
Surviving relatives include: daughter, Gina Woodard; sister, Judy Taylor; and grandchildren, Chelsea Perryman and Channing Chipman.

Michael Sutton
Michael Wayne “Big Michael” Sutton, 64, passed away March 9 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held March 21 at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Warren officiating. The family has chosen cremation.
He was born Oct. 31, 1957 in Cookeville.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Hubert Sutton and Carol McBroom Sutton; and favorite cousin, Ralph Sutton.
Surviving relatives include: aunt, Maggie (David) Hancock of Buffalo Valley; and cousins.

Deborah Allen
Deborah Ann Allen, 64, of Gainesboro, passed away March 17 at her residence. The family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time.
She was born Oct. 30, 1957. She worked as a caretaker.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Donald Rhoten and Dymple Holloway; brothers, Jimmy and Donnie Rhoten; and sister in law, Jennie Rhoten.
Surviving relatives include: son, Danny (Cindel) Allen of Gainesboro; daughter, Brandy (Matthew) Hopper of Lancing; brothers, Jerry (Michelle) Rhoten and Larry Rhoten; sister in law, Brenda Rhoten; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; four nieces;4 nephews; one great niece; and five great nephews.

Earl Ray Stewart
Earl Ray Stewart, 81, of Cookeville, passed away March 18. Funeral services will be held March 23 at Collegside Church of Christ, Cookeville with Minister John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 9, 1940 in Livingston. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Detroit, Mich. He served in the U.S. Army and in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a member of the Collegeside Church of Christ. He enjoyed life gardening, scenic drives (enhanced by vintage country music) and seasonal beauty. His greatest enjoyment was his family.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Claude Cleveland Stewart and Maggie Matthews Stewart; wife, Dora Hollifield Stewart; infant daughter, Debra Lynn Stewart; sister, Dorothy Stewart Lucent; and brother, Billy Ross Crowley.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Nan Sadler Stewart; children, Mary Beth Stewart (Greg) Shirley of Cookville, Rhonda Lee (Kelly O’Callaghan) Stewart of St. Clair Shores, Mich. and Robert Ray (Elizabeth) Stewart of Chattanooga; granddaughters, Mary Landress Stewart, Grace Gilman Stewart and Elizabeth Wells Stewart, all of Chattanooga; grandsons, Trent Gregory Shirley, Grant Alan Shirley and Stewart Lee Shirley, all of Cookeville; and host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers are grandsons and family members.
